I pulled Dean's pillow over my head, his scent still clung to the fabric, and deeply inhaled.
The room was pretty. I could not believe he did all this for me. I walked into the walk-in closet again, smiling when I saw the mirror.
The boys were still asleep. That wasn't that crazy, since they had their day in Disneyland yesterday. They must be tired.
I tip-toed downstairs on my bare feet. The white carpet in the living room felt soft.
Memories of last night returned, as I walked into the kitchen. I cleaned up the dining table, we had left the board game on the table.
I was thirsty and I opened up the refrigerator. I smiled when I saw that it was fully stocked.
I took some eggs out of the refrigerator, and I was starlet when an older woman walked in. I dropped an egg to the floor in shock. "I am sorry mam, I am here to make breakfast," she said as if that would explain anything.
"I am your cook." she squeaked. She was wearing an apron, I should of drawn that conclusion. "Did Dean send you?" I questioned. The woman started helping me with cleaning up the remaining of the egg.
"You must be Melissa right, I am your new cook," the woman said. "My name is Martha," she said, shaking my hand.
"What do you mean, my cook," I asked confused. The woman seemed nervous. "I mean that I start working for you from today," she said.
She was almost finished with cleaning the floor. "You have two sons, right," she went on. "Yes," was the only thing I replied.
"What would you like to have for breakfast today?" she questioned as she opened the refrigerator.
"For breakfast," I gulped. "Yes," she smiled at me. I shook my head. "That Dean is something alright," I mumbled. "Pancakes maybe?" she ignored my comment.
I thought about that. "I think that would be a good idea," I told her. "Shall I help you," I offered. The woman, Martha, smirked at me. "No ma'am," was the only thing she said.
I walked around the house and decided to go up-stairs again. I did not really know what to do. I checked out the first floor. I had never lived in a house with four bathrooms.
The attic was a whole floor itself. I noticed that it did not have a purpose yet, it was completely empty.
It was ten o'clock in the morning, and the boys still were not awake. I had taken a bath, started reading a book and what not- when I walked downstairs again.
The air was filled with the smell of pancakes, and something else… Something chocolate. It smelled good.
Normally I craved some me-time, but right now I felt on edge. "Wow, God, Wow," Dani cheered as she suddenly entered the main door.
"So he is rich," Dani sighed. "No, I mean.. I knew he was rich, but he is like…"she trailed off.
"I guess," I shrugged. "And I have heard that you landed him," she rushed through her words. "I did what?" I frowned.
"He is hooked," Dani said meaningfully. I was not grasping. "He is smitten, he is at your knees… do I need to continue?" she wiggled her eyebrows.
No… I was getting visual images of exactly how down on his knees he was last night… in between my legs though. I pressed my thighs together at the thought.
"Dani, cut it out, it only has been a few days since we started to talk at all," I downplayed her words.
"Tell that to Christal," said Dani and she dramatically flew down on the couch. "What do I smell?" Dani eyed me suspiciously.
"Pancakes," I curtly answered.
Dani stood up and walked to the kitchen. "Who is that," she turned around to meet my irritated stare.
"My name is Martha," the cook said. Dani glances in between Martha and I. "Dean uhm…"
She was going to make a big deal out of this. "What are you doing here anyway?" I bit.
"You have a housekeeper," Dani said ignoring that. "Martha is a cook," I said and folded my arms against my chest. "Rudy is the housekeeper," Martha said.
She was not really helping my case at all.
"You have a housekeeper AND a cook." Dani's eyes grew wide with shock. "My goodness," she said and waved her hands before her eyes, to indicate she was hot.
"Okay, cut to the chase. What is up with Christal and what exactly were you doing at the property in the first place," I said glancing at my watch. "I mean, it is way early for you to be up in the weekend."
It was silent for a while, that was unlike Dani.
"Now I am getting really curious," I snickered. Dani put her hands before her eyes. "I have slept at Jason's," she explained shyly.
"Oh," I managed to say.
"Really…." I said with more enthusiasm. "Yeah… it just ended up that way," she bit her lip.
"And how exactly did it end up that way," I smirked.
"You are just trying to divert me," Dani accused me smiling from ear to ear.
"You have Christal in complete uproar, so you owe me a really… really good story," she wiggled her eyebrows again.
I pouted my lips. "He is very sweet to me," I croaked. "I can see that," cackled Dani, as she spun around the room.
"No, I mean… he is really sweet to me," I offered. "Melissa is blushing…" she snickered. '
"And he is hot," added Dani. I bit my lip. "Absolutely," I said and rolled my eyes. "Incredibly hot," I sighed.
"But what were you saying about Chrystal?" I questioned. "Oh yeah… there was a really big fight between her and Dean… I mean… he was making clear of his intentions with you. He uhm… he says you are the one," Dani rushed through the words.
