" What is this… why is this thing here?"
Just the sight of it made Ilirielth want to puke. There was nothing in the world that was more disgusting than this little thing under her feet. Like all humans who were born in Loriana, there was something inside her screaming, wanting to be ejected from her body. Ilirielth instinctively took a quick step back from the creature, without checking if it was alive or not. She scanned around the surroundings but no sight of other goblins. Something was off, these things would never go alone on their own unless their level was extremely high for their habitat, which made no sense since she killed it this easily. Ilirielth made a quick check on her level, as she thought there was no exp gained from the last kill.
The corpse of the goblin twitched. Its blood stopped flowing and both of its halves began to reform. It was like the dark goddess was molding clay using the goblin parts. After a few seconds, two goblins rose up, laughing wickedly at Ilirielth. Their levels were not high, only 225 something told her they were not the kind of opponents she could handle. Without any delay, she shouted out for Iliriendil.
" Don't kill them! Use the thing you did with those flying ones!"
Just as her words ended a horrendous wave of deadly aura engulfed the whole area. This was the second time she got hit by this skill, so Ilirielth was mentally prepared. Her body was trembling nonstop but not to the point of immobile. She planned to carry Iliriendil out of this place right after that but that plan soon crashed because of what happened before her eyes. Before the murderous intent could hit the two goblins, one used its sharped teeth and claws to rip off the other's neck. Only one of them was stunned and the other was dead. The headless corpse of the goblin twitched again, and immediately, Ilirielth ran back to her friend without looking back. Much faster than the last time she could already feel a presence behind her. The goblin chased after Ilirielth with its little legs. It was faster than it would catch up to her before she could reach Iliriendil so rather than kept running she decided to give it a quick response. The goblin was a bit faster but she had more advantage in terms of range and skill. Iliriendil easily slashed the goblin's legs. Rather than cut off its whole legs, she only cut its tendon. The goblin groans and collapses to the ground, but a mischievous smile remained on its face. Right after that, head-like objects were thrown at Ilirielth at high speed. Although she dodged all of them, a sharp pain suddenly came from her belly as it was torn apart. A goblin came from nowhere and assaulted her from behind. It held onto her while mauling her belly. She screamed and cut it out of her body, the thing jump straight into her sword as if it wanted to be cut. Before Ilirielth knew the goblin number went up to more than 100 and 30 of them already surrounded her. They held her down and tore off her clothes. Their disgusting t*sticles dangling around. Twenty of them blocked her limps and mouth and the rest riding on her back.
She knew very well what these things intended to do because they were infamous for it. Ilirielth was afraid, not for her but for the Iliriendil.
"Iliriendil, no!"
She shouted but it was too late. All of the goblins on her bodies became corpses with only skins remaining. Under Iliriendil's feet green liquid flood like rivers. Although her eyes could not catch up she understood what was going on there. Iliriendil ignored the goblins' revival, he just kept killing them all over and over again. In less than a few seconds, in a radius of 20 meters with Iliriendil at the center filled with thousands of goblin corpses and organs. The number constantly jumped up to ten thousand, hundreds of thousands. Ilirielth rushed to grab Iliriendil and ran. Just as the corpses fall out of Iliriendil's range they instantly reformed their shapes. As the two of them were running a green storm, made of millions of goblins chased after them, it was getting bigger and bigger. The goblins seemed to share their mind. They knew that the creature they were chasing after was the hardest prey so not only they were chasing, but they were also focused on multiplying their number by killing themselves. Their number increased exponentially and soon became billions, they swallowed every creature that stood in their path. They were so many that they reach the top of the 'sky'. Soon the whole dungeon floor flooded with goblins. With every knock and granny filled with nothing but goblins. From the look of it. The goblins covered the path ahead of them. There was no way out.
' Could this be the end?'
Just as all hope seemed lost. A big explosion was heard and the ground below them collapsed. A drift appeared to split the area into two horizontally. As Ilirielth and Iliriendil fell onto the dark rift, the wave of goblins stopped. They looked below the rift shouting angrily for a while before changing their direction.
Ilirielth hand's held on to a slippery rock but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't get a good hold of it. Her hand slipped but then someone caught her. Ilirielth eyes went wide when she realise who that was.
[Supprise to see me?] - Mordox language
The blue female giants smiled. It pulled them up and drag them into a hole.
In the monitor room, there was a long sigh of a man, while watching the mess before his eyes. Had he not reacted fast enough not just the dungeon but the whole Mordox would face a serious problem. The culprit of this was not here at the moment, she said she had something important to do. He could not comprehend what could be more important than almost destroying a whole ecosystem.
" This can't go on. Or else she gonna ruin it all again."
The man sipped his coffee while texting on something that looked like a phone.
