Dark killer

"Four years have passed—it feels like time has flown by, yet here I am, still feeling like a child. But none of that matters now. This is my chance to hunt down those who took away my loved ones.".

I was called the "Dark Killer" in the Sevalos Empire because I always wore a dark suit, mask, and black cloak.

The Sevalos Empire, the most powerful in the realm, was filled with high nobles who often held disdain for common people. They sought to remove them or send them to other countries.

Among these nobles, none were as notorious as Count Tedross. Known for his cruel reputation, he often abused servants when drunk, gambled excessively, and had numerous affairs. Despite his actions, he had a wife and an 18-year-old son who shared his vile reputation.

One day, while monitoring Count Tedross as part of my job, I overheard disturbing conversations about his misdeeds, making me even more infuriated. As I watched, I suddenly heard a scream and saw Count Tedross dragging a child by the hair out of an orphanage, with his knights seizing three other children. The girl bit his hand, and in response, he threw her to the ground with such force that she bled.

The scene drew a crowd, and as people gasped at the blood, Tedross smirked and declared, "Don't worry, this girl will be punished for biting a noble's hand." The commoners, aware of their powerless position, could do nothing but watch.

Furious, I thought, 'Count Tedross, do you think you own these people?' I calmed myself, determined to save the children. But before I could act, Tedross kicked the girl again. Unable to contain my rage, I teleported in front of him and kicked him to the ground.

"Are humans trash to you?" I demanded, still masked and cloaked. "Throwing an innocent child like that!"

Tedross, enraged, retorted, "How dare you, a commoner, interrupt!" I punched him hard, and his knights rushed to protect him.

"Do you know who I am?" Tedross sputtered, pointing at me with his ring-adorned fingers. Ignoring his threats, I used my magic to immobilize his knights, black vines holding them in place.

"Should I kill you all?" I taunted, causing them to tremble. "If you touch these people again, I'll cut off your head—or perhaps your limbs."

The knights, terrified, begged for mercy. "Fine! We won't touch them, just let us go!"

I released them, but Tedross, choking and enraged, ordered his knights to capture me. "Catch him and kill him!" he commanded, thinking it would increase his noble rank.

Selentia, the protagonist, faced the advancing knights, her anger rising. She unleashed her dark magic, causing chaos and fear among the onlookers. Recognized as the "Dark Killer," she realized too late that she had exposed herself.

Just then, the crown prince and his guards arrived, surrounding her. The prince pointed his sword at her and said, "I didn't know you caused trouble here again, Dark Killer."
