Hokage

Out of everything that Yuki was seeing, there was one person who stood out among the ninja clothed clad people of the city. A young girl around fifteen years of age with shoulder length black hair and purple eyes. She wore strange black clothing, something a martial artist might wear with a white belt tied in the front. Her hand rested on a pure white hilt that hid its blade in a pure white sheath.

Yuki could not put her finger on it, but she felt this person did not belong. Kind of out of place. "Ummm… Jiraiya, who is that?" Yuki really did not know what to call this man who was letting her ride on his shoulder. So she could only call him by the name he had told her.

"Hmmm, who is what? I don't see anyone." Jiraiya asked and looked at the spot Yuki was pointing to but did not see anything out of the ordinary.

Yuki felt slightly confused. She could clearly see the young girl standing there, but Jiraiya could not. 'Are my eyes playing tricks on me?' Yuki rubbed her eyes and looked at the spot once more, only to see that the girl was no longer there. Yuki looked around but did not see the person in question. This made her feel like she might be losing her mind. She turned her head and looked at Jiraiya's questioning eyes, and shook her head. "Never mind, I think I was seeing things…."

Jiraiya hummed and lost interest. He just put it as the girl's power messed with her mind. He figured after some time, her mind would straighten itself out. As the two continued forward to meet the Hokage, a girl in black walked out of the back alley and stared at the little girl on the tall man's shoulder. "Did she just look right at me?" The girl felt perplexed as she could have sworn the little girl was staring at her. But after shaking her head, she decided it was just her imagination. She took a step forward onto the busy street and disappeared among the crowd. But what was strange was that no one seemed to be able to sense her existence.

Not long later, Yuki found herself standing in a large office in front of a moon shaped wooden desk with many large windows that lined the walls of half the circular room behind said desk. Many stacks of paperback books were stacked up not only on the desk but also on the floor. Sitting behind it was an old man with white hair and a short triangle white beard. On top of his head was a strange hat that had a white veil that hung down on all sides except where his face was. On his body was a long sleeve white overshirt that was open in the front, revealing a red robe underneath. Yuki got the feeling that the old man was somewhat friendly with how he smiled warmly at her.

The old man's gaze changed as it went from Yuki to Jiraiya. "So?"

"She is definitely not from the Yuki clan, and her power is not a Kekkei Genkai." Jiraiya paused his explanation before continuing. "But I can say that her chakra reserves are almost endless, and as you have seen, she has an affinity with ice, or should I say more like she has an affinity with snow. I have decided to take her under my wing and teach her how to control her chakra. I believe she will be a powerful shinobi in the future."

Yuki, who was standing to the side listening to the two men talk, only understood that they were speaking about her and she may have the ability to control snow. She had no idea what Chakra was or what a Kekkei Genkai was, but she did understand that it seemed to be able to grant someone power. A power that she so desperately needed.

"So you took her as your disciple. What about Naruto?" The old man asked while letting out a sigh. Yuki could see from his expression that he seemed troubled.

"That brat will need to find another teacher. I can already tell I will be having my time occupied with dealing with this little one. I do have a suggestion, though." Jiraiya walked over to the other side of the desk and whispered into the old man's ear.

"Jiraiya, you are really…. Well, to be honest, I think Iruka will also benefit from this. Alright, we will go with this." The old man nodded as he leaned back and rubbed the bridge of his nose. Yuki kind of felt out of place as she stood at the side watching everything. While parts of the conversation had to do with her, other parts had to do with the rude boy in the orphanage.

"Then I will take her to one of the free apartments close to the academy she will be attending next year with the brat," Jiraiya said as she picked up Yuki.

"Do as you see fit. But Jiraiya, are you sure about this?" The old man asked.

Jiraiya turned his head and nodded: "Yes. This little girl may just one day save Konoha."

Jiraiya did not know why he felt this way, but he felt something from this young girl who sat on his shoulder quietly, looking around as if she was trying to take everything in.

The old man watched as Jiraiya turned back around and headed out of the room through the door with a strange expression. "When did you become so respectful to actually use the door?"

Outside the room walking down the hall, Yuki finally decided to ask who the old man was. "Jiraiya, who was that?"

"Hmm? Didn't I say we were going to meet the Hokage? Well, he is also my sensei. His name is Hiruzen Sarutobi and is the Third Hokage." Jiraiya replied. He liked when someone was willing to ask questions no matter how dumb they might seem.

Yuki nodded after hearing him answer but did not ask any more questions. Her mind was preoccupied with other things. She has seen her reflection a few times now in the windows of the shops, and that already gave her a huge shock. Pure white hair and ice-blue eyes. She was skinny but looked no older than four or five years of age. She had no idea why she was now in such a body. But she could tell from everything she was hearing that if her assumptions were correct that she was not part of some weird experiment as far as she could tell and that the place she was in was not a part of her world.
