It was a busy day at the casino called Mist Horizon. I could see that the casino had a lot of people standing around shouting and laughing at everything that was going on. Some people were sitting around tables as well, playing something I could not see, just screaming and laughing like they were having lots of fun.
"Can I see your ID," said a man with a rough voice coming from behind me.
"What?" I said as I turned around to see a taller man with muscles that looked like a fighter standing in front of me like a house.
"Can I see your ID" the man repeated, "before you enter, you need to see if you're allowed to be in here?"
"Oh, sorry," I murmured as I pulled out my wallet from my pants.
I could see that the man was scarier up close and had a scar crossing his nose, making him look rough with his light tan skin. "Here you go, sir," I smiled as I pulled out my ID and handed it to him.
When the man grabbed the ID, he looked at it with a rugged look in his eyes. I know I look at you but come on, why the face! "Is everything okay?" I asked as he looked at the ID this time, noticing his eyes were not even looking at his ID but be.
"Oh, yes, sir," the man said, this time having a weak smile as he handed me my ID back. I finally noticed that the man who was giving me my ID had bright blue eyes and messy dark hair, which made his tan look fated.
"You can go in," the man said, this time looking at me again with a severe look, "have fun here at the Mist Horizon, sir."
"Thanks, sir," I smiled when I turned to walk away from the scary man now walking to the door on the other side where they were and disappeared through the door.
What is up with that man? He was hella scary. I thought I was going to die. Okay, grab the money, so you can get out of here before that dangerous man comes back. Also, remember to avoid the bathroom with all the drunken people hovering around because it looks like they are drunk and would be a pill to deal with at this time.
"Champagne, sir," said a woman beside me as I walked farther into the casino.
"Um…," I turned to see the waiter holding a tray of champagne, "oh, yes, thank you."
"You're very welcome, sir," she smiled as she walked away, "have a nice day."
As I looked around the casino room to find the door, I looked for a door no one was using. I finally spotted the door closer to where the waiters were coming in and out. I think that could be the storage room with the tokens. I need to get a closer look at the signs next to it.
Before I got close to the door, a man behind me said, "Are you in need of more champagne, sir?"
"Um," I murmured as I looked beside, seeing a waiter holding an empty tray, "um…yes, please."
"I will be back with more champagne," he smiled as he walked past me and walked into the door where the waiter kept coming in and out.
Shit, why could I not find the damn words? He might think I'm drunk. Just remember the plane you have been working on for weeks; forget what the waiter thinks before I started to walk again to the door. Right before I began to walk, the man came back. "Thanks for waiting, sir," he said. This time his tray was full of glasses of champagne. Damn, that was hella quick for a waiter. They might already have some pre-done.
"Thank you," I smiled as I started to walk away from the closed door to the closest table. When I got to the table, I could see that the table had two people sitting on both ends. An older man was drunk as a skunk falling asleep sitting up at the far end.
"May I sit here," I said as I looked at the man sitting on the left side of the table close to the door. He was a lot younger, maybe in his late 20's.
"Oh, yes, you can," the man said with a deep voice sounding like he was older.
"Thank you," I smiled before I sat down next to the man, slowly drinking his glass.
"What brings you here," he smiled as he put his glass down and turned to face me.
"Um… I'm just seeing why everyone likes casinos," I hesitated to look at the man that was smiling at me. The man looked hot with his hair cut perfectly and his beard cut short and perfect, making him look like a masterpiece.
"Is this your first time here at the casino," he asked, still smiling, showing his white teeth.
"Um…it is my first time," I hesitated again with a weak laugh, "how could you tell?"
"That's because I've never seen you here before," he laughed, looking at me as he took another drink from his glass, "and I come here a lot."
"That makes sense," I laughed as I drank champagne that was given to me by the waiter earlier that; he was still looking at me with green eyes that looked like emeralds.
"Is everything okay," he murmured, still smiling as he looked at me, who's started to turn a bit red, "how cute!"
"Oh, no, sorry," I murmured and started to blush even more from embarrassment, "I just never seen someone perfect before."
"Me perfect?" laughed the man as he covered his mouth when he laughed, "no one has called me that before, maybe an asshole or a demon, but never perfect."
"How are you not? With how you have dressed and the way your face is perfect, nothing out of place," I said, making my voice sound serious.
"I like you," he laughed as he looked at my face again, still a little red, "giving me a compliment like that."
"That's good. You still think it's funny," I said this time, sounding angry as I glared.
"I don't think it's funny!" said the man as he finally stopped laughing, "My name is River, and you are?"
"Oh, my name is Alexzander, but people just call me Alex," I smiled as I relaxed a little.
"It's nice to meet you, Alex," smiled River as he drank from his glass again, "I hope I see you again."
"I don't know?" I said, looking away from River and at the closed door that I needed to get into, "why would you want to see someone like me again."
"Why not," he said, looking at where I was looking, "I think you're cute, and you dropped this, by the way."
When I turned to where River was sitting, I could see that he put a key card next to the champagne glass that I was drinking slowly. "This is not mine," I murmured when I looked up to see that he was not sitting next to me, "where did he go?"
Before I picked up the key card to put it in my pocket, I sat up from my chair and walked to the door to get what I came for and get the fuck out of here. When I got to the door, I could see that the words on the door said, "EMPLOYEES ONLY," and the sign on the side of the door said, "CASINO TOKEN STORAGE." Hell ya, I found it. Let's get as many tokens as possible and trade them in for money.
When I put my hand on the handle, I tried to turn it, but the door did not open. "What the fuck," I whispered under my breath, looking at the door handle, "it needs a damn key card." I looked around to see if anyone was watching me. I could see no one was looking at me, and they were so focused on shouting and laughing.
"You dropped this," said the voice in my head.
The card River said I dropped could work as I pulled out a card from my pocket. As I put the key card into the slot, the key card slid right in, making a soft beep and a click. It worked as I pushed the door open. I needed to get in quickly.
Right as the door shut, I moved to the side to find a light switch to turn on the lights. When I finally pushed the button, the room lit up. The room was big enough to have two big shelves on the left and right side of the room and two smaller shelves on the wall in front of me with a desk and a chair in between them.
When I moved to the shelves closest to where I was standing, I could see that the shelves had trays full of casino tokens, all different colors from top to bottom. What colors have a higher number again? Crap, I can't remember. I will grab what I can. Let's see if they have a bag inside the desk. When I reached the desk, I could see papers scattered all along the top of the desk.
"What are these?" I murmured under my breath as I reached out to grab the paper closest to me.
Before I looked at the paper, I heard a noise coming from the door. "Shit," I said as I dropped the piece back onto the desk, "where to hide." Right as I heard the door open, I ran straight to the door.
When the door opened, I hid behind the door. "Can you hold the door open?" a woman with blonde hair and dressed like she was a casino worker walked into the room with a cart going to the right side so she could not see me behind the door.
"Ya, I can," another woman said as she held the door open where I was hiding behind, "let's grab some more tokens and get going before more people get mad at the front desk."
"I know, people can be assholes when they do not have the tokens," laughed the woman as she grabbed different trays on each shelf and put them on the cart, "okay, let get going; that's the last tray."
"Finally, this room is so boring to be in," the woman still holding the door open as she taped her nails on the door.
When both women left, the door shut behind them, leaving me once again in the room empty. "Okay, I need to get out of here before I get caught," I said, not caring if someone could hear me as I walked over to the desk again and started to open the drawers. When I found a bag in the bottom of the last drawer I opened, I grabbed the bag and walked over to the shelves filling the pack with tokens, not caring about the color.
