Chapter 6 Law Mist Horizon Casino Early That Day 1 pm

The casino felt more busy than usual, with the front running casino tokens and people being fucking assholes. Why can't people just stay home if their stupidity ruins the day? I just hope today gets better. If not, my mood is going to be fucking miserable.

"Excuse me, sir," said a man behind me as I sat in a chair looking at screens of surveillance showing every inch of the casino.

"What is it," I murmured, making my voice sound like I was not in the mood to deal with shit today. As I turned, I said that the man was Markus, my family's close friend and driver. Markus has been taking care of me since I can remember, always there when I need him. He's more of a family member to me than a caregiver.

"Sorry to disturb you," bowed Markus as he showed no emotions as he did. He never changes constantly with that blank expression on his face. He would be hella good at poker if he ever tried to learn.

"It's all good, Markus," I smiled, showing him that he can at least try to show some kind of emotion, "what do you need."

"Well, the man I ID looked very nervous than the normal people that come in," Markus murmured, this time raising his eyebrow, "Should we kick him out just in case."

"Maybe what is his name," I laughed, making Markus raise his eyebrow again as I turned to face the screens again.

"His name is Alexzander Cinder, sir," Markus said as he walked closer to me.

After a few minutes of going through the surveillance, I stopped at the footage showing Markus ID, a man that looked younger than me. He looked a little jumpy but did not look like he could even hurt a fly if he tried. Maybe he needs money and thought he could get some here.

"So what should I do, sir," said Markus as he looked at the screen, then at me.

"Just leave him. I will go down and watch him. Then, if I need you, I will tell ya," I smiled as I got up from my seat and walked over to the door.

"As you wish, sir," bowed Markus as I opened the door and walked out of the room.

When I left the room, I made my way to the main room the casino was in. When I opened the door, loud sounds came from the other side, sounding like walking outside. Damn, it's loud; I hope no one tries to talk to me; people, when they drink, areas fucking annoying as hell.

As I made my way to the end of the big room showing tables of people, some with people playing cards and some with people just talking and laughing. I found a table with some old guy drunk off his ass falling asleep; at least he's not causing trouble. Before I sat down, I told the closest waiter to get me some whiskey.

Finally, as I sat down, I started to scan the room for that Alexzander guy. I saw that he, too, was studying the casino right as I found him. When he stopped looking, I looked in the direction he was looking at, noticing that he was looking at the storage room with tokens. So it was money, but you want to steal the money. This is going to be fun.

After a few minutes passed, Alexzander walked over to me with a nervous look. I will give him this key card I have and let him take the money and make him help me with what I need. I just need to play it cool as if I'm just here relaxing after having fun.

"May I sit here," Alexzander said as he looked at me as he stood there with a glass of champagne.

"Oh, yes, you can," I finally said, getting out of my head from thinking as I grabbed my drink.

"Thank you," smiled Alexzander before he sat down next to me.

"What brings you here," I smiled as I put my glass down and turned to face him.

"Um… I'm just seeing why everyone likes casinos," hesitated Alexzander as he stared at me like I was food. Damn, he's cute; this is going to work.

"Is this your first time here at the casino," I asked, still smiling at him.

"Um…it is my first time," hesitated Alexzander again with a weak laugh, "how could you tell?"

"That's because I've never seen you here before," I laughed, looking at him as I took another drink from my glass, "and I come here a lot."

"That makes sense," laughed Alexzander as he drank champagne that was given to him by the waiter.

"Is everything okay," I murmured, still smiling. As Alexzander started to turn a bit red, "how cute!"

"Oh, no, sorry," Alexzander murmured as he started to blush even more from embarrassment, "I just never seen someone perfect before."

"Me perfect?" I laughed as I covered my mouth, "no one has called me that before, maybe an asshole or a demon, but never perfect."

"How are you not? With how you have dressed and the way your face is perfect, nothing out of place," said Alexzander, making his tone serious.

"I like you," I laughed as I looked at him again, still having a little red on his face, "giving me a compliment like that."

"That's good. You still think it's funny," Alexzander said this time, sounding angry as he glared at me.

"I don't think it's funny!" I said as I finally stopped laughing at him. Before he askes me my name, I will use a fake, so he does not know that I own this place. Everyone knows that the Grey family's only son holds this place, "My name is River, and you are?"

"Oh, my name is Alexzander, but people just call me Alex," he smiled as he relaxed a little.

"It's nice to meet you, Alex," I smiled as I drank from my glass, "I hope I see you again."

"I don't know?" Alex said, looking away from me and at the closed door that he needed to get into, "why would you want to see someone like me again."

"Why not," I said, looking at where he was looking. This is the time to give him the key card and walk away. "I think you're cute, and you dropped this, by the way."

When I got up from my seat, I quickly walked away from Alex to where I came from. Hopefully, he did not see me leave. But, right as I stopped, I turned to see that Alex was already at the door. Damn, he is hella quick; it only took him a few seconds to get his head straight. I need to get to Markus to tell him to just let him do his thing and help him if he needs help when he gets to the front; I can't let this fail. I need Alex to help me keep everything I've achieved.
