Chapter 3

The next day, I had woken up sore. The prospect of sleeping with a boar may seem cool, but let me tell you now that it's uncomfortable. I was woken up from time to time during the night with Porkchop moving around and grunting. Thankfully I still managed to get some good shut eye.

Standing up, I stretched my body to try and get rid of the soreness. Looking at the still sleeping Pig, I sighed. This fella ate up almost all of my food resources, thankfully, hunger doesn't really kill me. Although it is uncomfortable. Plus, it would be a little difficult to survive when I couldn't even see my hunger bar.

I walked out, leaving t Porkchop behind to sleep by himself. Heading over to the lake, I washed my face. I sighed as I looked at my reflection on the water's surface. My inventory had not displayed my person like in the original game, all it had was the 35 slots.

I looked the same as I was in my previous life, albeit a more blocky version. The same black hair, and pale complexion. Thought, I now have a light blue color for my pupils. A characteristic I gained from my transmigration maybe? I couldn't really bother to put much thought about it though, after all, they're just eyes.

My main goal today is to get a food source going. Which shouldn't be too hard, I've collected a bunch of wild crops, as well as seeds from breaking the grass as I walked around. Right now, I have 2 wild onions, 9 wild carrots, and 13 seeds. All I need to do is to craft a hoe and plant, after all I have a large water source right here. Heck maybe it could be infinite, that's Earth's water crisis solved right there.

Wanting to get this started right away, I got back to the house so I could craft the hoe. However, when I came inside I found myself smelling a rather unpleasant scent.

"What the fuck??" I cursed, pinching my nose with my fingers. "Porkchop you disgusting pig! What the hell man, you shat in my house." I felt like puking from the horrid smell. I didn't know that shit can even smell this bad. How the hell am I going to clean this up.

I kicked the perpetrator out the house and also stepped out to breath. It was so bad that I honestly wanted to pass out, I deliberated for a some time of how to clean it. When I suddenly palmed my forehead. I just realized that I could just pick it up with my inventory.

See, technically speaking, I don't have to pick things up directly for it to be placed into my inventory. I just have to be close enough for my inventory to pick it up itself and store it. Not only that, when I hold items I don't actually hold them. The float on my hands like a hologram until I actually will it to be physically in the real world.

I don't know, nor care how that would be possible but since I reincarnated why wouldn't it be? Wait, but I need to 'break' it first. Realizing the uselessness of my ability for this situation I groaned inside. Or, I could also just shovel it, right, if I shoveled it I could carry it out. Hmm I could even see if I could 'break' it. By break, I naturally mean to turn it into a collectible entity. After all I can just go around sucking things in my inventory when ever I feel like it.

Walking back inside, with my shovel equipped and ready to go, I walked towards the source of the horrid smell. Trying to hold my vomit I raised the shovel up with it's head at a vertical position, if it was in a horizontal one the shit would splash every where if it didn't 'break'.

Closing my eyes, I swung the shovel down hoping for everything to work out.

Clank!

I heard the contact with the stone. Keeping my eyes closed for a second longer, I opened them. Only to see that the mound of feces were gone and no longer on the floor. The smell still lingered, but it was definitely gone for good. Going back out to escape the smell, while leaving the door open. I checked my inventory to find a new item in one of the slots.

Looking at it, a name take appeared beside it. [Dung] was what my inventory called it, then a rush of information entered my head. It contained all recipes possible with dung. For example, I can turn it into fertilizer, which then can be used to quickly crow any crops.

"Holy shit." (A/N: It definitely is I tell you.) Wasn't this a little to op? If I could get more animals, then I could have an unlimited source of food no? Crap, I'll be living a king's life with this kind of shit. All it needed was one piece of dung surrounded by dirt. This recipe also gives me 9 pieces of fertilizer, meaning that I could at least probably grow 2 crops to fully grown with this.

Not wanting to go back inside the house. I broke down a tree to craft another workbench. I placed it by the place I wanted to build the farm at and started to get to work. First, I took out my shovel to dig a strip of dirt. This was so I could let the water flow inland so I could supply my crops with water. I could also build on the lake itself, but it isn't necessarily aesthetic. I broke the final dirt piece that was walling off the water to finally let it flow. I looked at the water gush into the moat, I looked over to the lake and noticed that it actually started to reduce I little bit. I suppose physics still technically apply here, just not with the things that I place then?

I wasn't surprised with the lake going down, that was because the things that I break are always by a cubed meter. Though it was still a shocking amount of water getting drained. I just hoped that when I get my hands on a bucket I can actually make an infinite source of water. Else I'll really be in trouble. My farmer's dream will be instantly destroyed.

Getting rid of my current thoughts. I got straight to hoeing the ground. (A/N hoeing doesn't really roll off the tongue here).

After creating a total of 20-is meters of tilled ground I planted all the seeds I had. The tilled land wasn't enough to plant all the crops though, I had 4 seeds left. I didn't really want to bother with it thought. It'll mess up the look of the farm, so I decided to hold on to them for now.

Looking up in the sky, the sun was still up. With plenty of daylight left, I decided to call Porkchop over to explore the area a little bit more. He was a natural path maker that's for sure, if I didn't have him I would probably use up a lot of stone swords just to get through all the foliage.

"Porkchop!" I called out, a large boar about as tall as my hips came running towards me.

Oink! Oink!

It rubbed itself on me and grunted happily. I gave it a good scratch before I told him that we were going to explore out. To which he nodded his head at, strangely enough, I just noticed how understanding this pig was. Although I couldn't understand him, he definitely could understand what I was saying. Maybe he was a god disguising as a pig? If he was I should be thankful I didn't kill him.

We explored the area on the other side of the lake. There wasn't really much things to find except for a ton of grass and trees. Though there were some occasional apple trees and wild plants, to which I fed Porkchop with. As we ventured on ahead, the density of the trees naturally got larger and their leaves covered the sun. This made the area below them become dark and gloomy. Holding up a torch I walked closer behind Porkchop. I also took out my sword, one should know that dark areas is where the hostile mobs spawn. One thing I didn't want was a creeper blowing up on me and Porkchop.

Strangely enough, after some minutes of walking I didn't really notice anything. Just as when I was letting my guard down, a white projectile shot towards me. Unable to react in time, I blocked it which the hand which I was holding the torch on. The projectile wrapped around my hands like glue. It was sticky and tight, which wasn't the most comfortable.

Looking towards the area where the projectile shot towards, I saw a few pairs of red eyes glow by the trees.

"Spider!" I said aloud, alarming Porkchop. He stared at it and started aggressively grunting. While I was trying to get rid of the substance that was stuck on my hands, Porkchop already charged towards the spider that was hiding. Not at all intimidated by Porkchop, the spider also screeched as it charge forwards. They disappeared into the foliage and I could only hear their struggling and the plants being bent around.

Switching my sword to another torch from my inventory, I quickly burned the substance which I presume to be a web. Switching back to my sword I headed to wards the battlefield. I didn't expect spiders to be this scary. They weren't the most threatening mobs in the games, aside from cave spiders. Those things are hell-spawn.

Following the tracks they left behind I came up on the two. The spider was overpowering Porkchop and began wrapping him up in its web. Taking the opportunity of the fact that it was distracted, I rushed towards it and slashed my sword towards its head. In a swift motion I cut the spider at it's head, however the trajectory of my swing didn't allow for a clean cut. Hence, I only cut half of its head as the sword travelled to it's body.

Red blood spurted out everywhere, the spider jumped off of Porkchop and screeched in pain. It staggered around before falling on its legs.

Spurt!

Without any warning, the spider exploded and a volley of white substances flew out of its body. (A/N: It's not what you think, I can explain.)

"Shit!" I covered my head with my hands, thankfully the spider was far enough for the substance to reach me. Thinking much of it, I quickly ran towards Porkchop. I used my sword to carefully cut out the web that wrapped around it.

"Hey buddy." I breathlessly said, I ran my hand across it's fur. He was still breathing, whew. That really scared me. "Are you good buddy, you shouldn't have done that."

Oink!

Porkchop wiggled around to show that he was okay. After a little while, he stood up and move around. Thankfully the spider wasn't very dangerous, I motioned him to follow me back.

"Let's go, we gotta go back before we come across anymore dangerous things." I said, the two of us pretty much just ran back out. If spiders were that scary then how about zombies? Skeletons? They'll definitely be more fierce and dangerous, I couldn't risk dying.

Coming out of the forest, I stumbled back to the lake breathing heavily. My heart was pumping throughout the whole run. A cold shiver ran up my spine as the adrenaline began to reduce from every part of my body.

Wiping the sweat off my head I stood back up to walk back home.

"Huh?" I said surprised. Porkchop wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Porkchop! Porky!" What the hell, wasn't he just following me before?
