YOU ARE SMARTER THAN I THOUGHT

"Have you gone mad, Vee? What kind of stupid idea is that? And who is the dumb guy that accepted this," Chloe yelled furiously at Olivia's face.

"Hey… don't yell at me. It's only temporary until I think of a better one." Olivia said in a reluctant tone.

"Vee, are you sure you're okay," Chloe asked as she placed her hand on Olivia's forehead.

"I am and I know what I'm saying." Olivia removed Chloe's hand from her forehead and held it in hers.

"You are my best friend right and best friends support each other all the time." Olivia's voice turned soft as she spoke.

"I know, but you're talking about a fake marriage." Chloe sighed before speaking.

"Don't worry, I have everything planned out and I'm sure it will work." Olivia sounded very sure her plan would work out perfectly.

"Okay, fine. How exactly are you planning to go about it?" Chloe finally accepted to help.

"Thank you, bestie." Olivia hugged her tightly after hearing her reply.

Olivia explained how everything was going to take place and even the backup plan. Chloe was not too sure if it was going to work but since she agreed to help, all she could do was listen.

~At Zux bar~

Olivia and Chloe were sighted by the bar counter, laughing and chit-chatting while having a drink. Olivia is having something that looks more like alcohol while Chloe's looks like juice. Chloe is not a fan of alcohol, the first time Olivia made her try it, she ended up spitting the whole thing on Olivia's face. Chloe is a blonde-haired girl with blue eyes, small pink lip, and freckled cheeks. She is the real definition of a cute young lady.

Since Chloe knows about the plan, Olivia decided to bring her along to meet Jason. A few minutes later, Jason and Ryan arrived at the bar. Olivia spotted them immediately after they emerged through the door, she nudged Chloe with her elbow and nodded her head towards the two men as they walked in.

"So, that's the dumb guy that accepted this idea of yours," Chloe said, referring to Ryan.

"No, the other one." Olivia corrected.

"Still dumb." Chloe averted her gaze from them as she took a sip of her juice.

"Hello, cutie," Ryan said, referring to the blonde girl sitting next to Olivia.

". . ." Chloe gave Ryan a hard glare as she sipped more juice from the cup.

"Geez…. why are you ladies so aggressive," Ryan said as he went to have his seat near Chloe.

"Good evening." Olivia greeted Jason.

"Evening." Jason greeted back as he also took a seat near Olivia.

"Hey, Felix. Whiskey." Ryan said as he gestured his hand to the bartender.

"Sure, man." Felix poured a bottle of whiskey into a glass cup.

"What is your reason for wanting this?" Jason asked as he placed his elbow on the counter and rested his face on his knuckles.

"My parents want me to get married soon but I don't want to, at least not now," Olivia answered with no problem at all.

"How long will this fake marriage last," Jason asked with a blank expression on his face.

"Only a few months till I'm able to find a permanent solution," Olivia replied to his next question.

"So, what's your plan?" Jason asked another question.

"Okay, I already talked to a priest who agreed to get us married and sign a marriage consent certificate," Olivia said as she moved her chair closer to his.

"Okay, what happens after that?" Jason continued asking more questions.

"I will introduce you to my parents as the one I want to spend the rest of my life with, and if they don't accept it, I'll show them the marriage certificate which means they can't do anything since we are already married." She paused to see Jason's reaction.

"What if they reject it?" Jason threw another question.

"They won't as long as we act convincingly. I know acting will be difficult for you but please try…okay." Olivia pleaded.

"Okay, but do you really think your parents will easily be convinced with you bringing a lover all of a sudden?" Jason's questions were beginning to piss Olivia off.

"I also have a solution for that," Olivia said confidently.

"And what could that be.?" Jason raised a brow at her.

"Since we both don't have anything to do during the day, we will visit different places tomorrow and take lots of pictures. Make sure you bring about four to five pairs of clothing so that we can appear differently in the pictures.

"You are smarter than I thought," Jason said, not as a compliment but as a realization.

Jason was impressed at the way she planned everything; she had a backup plan behind her backup plan.

"Thank you," Olivia said while smiling secretly at his comment.

"That's not a compliment." Jason cuts shut her happy moment.

"Agh… what a jerk," Olivia said almost in a whisper.

"I heard that," Jason said with the old look on his face.

"I know, I wanted you to hear it," Olivia said as she shook her head while sticking her tongue out like a child.

"Sorry for butting in, but what will happen after they accept your so-called marriage?" Chloe interrupted their conversation with a question.

"Why don't we save that for later, when the time comes, we'll know what to do…. okay, Chloe." Olivia was so fed up with all the questions coming from left and right.

"Ahh… Chloe. What a cute name. "Ryan said while looking at Chloe with a flirty smile on his face.

"What's your problem… huh, can't you be quiet." Chloe hissed at Ryan looking irritated.

"Look, cutie. I'm only trying to be friendly here but if you treat me like shit, I'll treat you like shit too." Ryan said to Chloe's face then he left for the bathroom.

"Chloe, what's your problem with him anyway?" Olivia scolded Chloe.

"I don't have a problem with him, I just don't like him." Chloe spat out then she turned in the other direction.

"So, you understood everything I said, right?" Olivia asked the question this time.

"Yes," Jason answered shortly.

Ryan finally came out of the bathroom, he paid for his drink and left with an unpleasing look on his face. Jason had no choice but to leave also since Ryan was probably waiting for him in the car. After they left, Olivia gave Chloe a questioning look as she folded her hands against her chest.

"What," Chloe asked as she raised a brow at Olivia.

"You shouldn't have treated him so badly; he was only flirting with you… you know that." Olivia said, looking unpleased also.

"Well, I don't like men who flirt," Chloe said as she adjusted her skirt with her hands.
