Synopsis
Overcome with an incurable illness stemming from the curse of a “Hero”, Demon Lord Baal commences the “Demon Lord Ascension”: a legendary event in which the next Demon Lord will be crowned. It is a competition between the relatives of the Demon Lord, where even death is permitted.
Receiving news of this, exiled prince and son of ill Demon Lord, Merlin, relishes the opportunity, bringing his human companions with him to his homeland to enter the Demon Lord Ascension.
Though he is hardly welcome, as he is seen as the “black sheep”--an outcast–among his family. Against all odds, with spite fueling him, Merlin seeks to take the Demon Lord crown for himself with his Dreaming Grimoire System to aid him–but first, he must go through his family.

So right away we learn this is a *King Culling* between the bloodlines of the family. Already we learn different kingdoms are coming together for a grand fight. I love how elegant this is written. Characters are already likeable from the beginning such as Merlin who is excited for the event it seems. I don't want to say too much, but fully immersed already in this story!

Author review here! So, what is there to expect from "My Demon Lord Ascension"? Well, a lot of things! --A lot of "Systems" will be showcased. This story doesn't just feature the Dreaming Grimoire System, but a whole host of systems wielded by antagonists and allies alike. --Action. As always, my stories are pumped full of action, and you'll know well right away that this story isn't any different. --A large cast of characters. --Different genres tackled; tournament arcs, kingdom building, conspiracies, you name it.
