Ch 65: Cake on Teacup Plates

I was appalled right now as she strode over to my face. Kai and his friends just sat there staring at us. Until Kai's sexy vast body stood up. Next thing I knew he strikes with one hand tightly around Samantha's neck! She struggled as her eyes rolled in the back of her head and her feet were lifted off the floor.

"Actually, my love, you came at the right moment to see me teach Samantha here a listen about ever touching me again!" Kai was being minacious.

As that malicious smirk widened on his mouth. I could only imagine that evil glint hidden behind his shades.

I was halted to a dead stance as I watched Samantha being choked to death. Nobody did anything about it. Nor did his friends even try stopping Kai. Until he released her, Samantha fell to the floor gasping and coughing for air while holding her throat.

"Let that be a warning to you Samantha," Kai coerced. "If you cause any problems for me and my soon-to-be wife. Next time I'll break your neck!"

Samantha stood up choking as tears ran down her cheeks. Just like that she left the pool and nobody else followed her.

Without any care for Samantha, Kai approached me to cup one hand on my face to keep me from avoiding him.

"Did you like the white rose I gave you, my love?" Kai asked while I was thinking my fiance is a psycho.

"Y-yes..." I stuttered out of breath like Kai was struggling me too.

Right now I was outright terrified of him. His hand brushes gently on my cheek and then he travels his hand down to my shoulder. A chill of Goosebumps coated my arm as his fingers glided down my biceps. Just at my waist from above the lace skirt over my bikini bottom. Kai shifts his hand to my lower bareback. He pulled my half-naked body into his naked torso. His breath breathed into my face before his lips softly kissed mine with one peck.

This time, I barely kissed him back. I was too scared to do anything else that might upset him. His upper body pulled up as he freed my lips but our waists were still pressured together.

Kai's hand traveled back up my body and he cupped my face with two palms. I went along with it and he bought our lips together again for a softer romantic kiss. I tried the best I could to kiss him. Till he slowly pulled away, leaving my lips to feel coldness.

"Remember, I meant what I said on the note," He whispered and all I could do was nod. "Why don't you go enjoy yourself with the other ladies. I heard dinner will be done soon."

I didn't say anything as he freed me from his grasp. Then I returned back to the ladies from where I came. Even though I wanted to leave that certain demand in his softer voice somehow made me involuntarily listen.

"Way to freak her out Kai!" I heard Rome loudly say as I left. Along to follow that statement were many chuckles.

Then I reached the ladies still chatting. I joined in their conversation, never once turning around to see Kai. Yet it felt as if his eyes were staring me down like I am his prey.

The next morning I woke up to a lightly tinted purple rose placed next to me. I put it in the vase with the other rose Kai gave me. Since it was chilly and stormy looking outside from all these gray clouds. I bought the roses inside and set them on my nightstand.

Once I was ready I left my room and had breakfast with almost everyone. Again Kai and his guy friends weren't around but Mia and Rose are here at the table. But I still noticed Rose wasn't eating and only took small sips off her tart dark-colored juice across from me.

"After breakfast, we'll be going out to sample cakes for the wedding," Mrs. Collin was happy to inform me.

"Y-ya... wonderful," I likely sounded sarcastic since Mia and Rose chuckled with a few other ladies. Mrs. Collin caught on to it but she could only smile at me.

After we ate, we left for the limousine that took us to this rather large luxury bakery. Only the high class would buy top-quality baked goodies from here, I thought just entering through the doorway.

Mrs. Collin spoke to the manager to announce our arrival. Right away, we were seated at this round fancy tea party decorated table.

Momentarily later, many tiny bits of cake samples came in on teacup plates.

"I think I want these cuptea plates at the wedding," I cooed and awed over it on my palm.

"I'll be sure to arrange that for you," Mrs. Collin said and I couldn't help but giggle. I didn't think she'd take me literally.

As I took a bite out of this strawberry cake. Ohh, the sweet flavor was delicious!

"I agree, Victoria, this strawberry cake is to die for!" Veronica said across the table like she read my mind. Or did I say that out loud? I kinda mulled on that possibility. Until I tasted a different cake piece. Then my mind got diverted by this delightful flavor.

We were all humming and drooling over the good cake... Well, all of us except for Rose that is. She kinda looked at the tiny pieces like she wanted to vomit. I felt so bad for her.

"I'm sorry, we are pigging out in front of you Rose," I apologized to her.

Rose giggled. "You're fine. I've never been much of a cake fan unless it's red jelly frozen cake. "

Now I could see Rose starting to drool when she mentioned this odd type of cake I'd never heard of.

"What kinda cake is that?" I was baffled.

"Oh, it's just a frozen cake with red filling in it," Zoey answered next to Veronica.

Mrs. Collin said. "I have ordered a few of those cakes for the wedding Rose. Along with whatever else Victoria wants."

"Maybe I'll try some at the wedding."

"No!" Suddenly they each spoke loudly at the same time.

"Ummm..." I muttered not even sure what to say as they each looked at one another strangely.

"It's a very strong taste like my juice," Rose smoothed things over. "You have to like something tart and stronger than black licorice."

"Oh, well, I don't like that flavor," I affirmed, getting grossed out. "I hate black licorice! You have some odd taste buds, Rose."

Rose giggled louder. "Yeah, you can say I do."

Well, that was certainly odd like my other days.

"My apologies ladies but we need to head back. We have a severe storm coming our way and I wouldn't wanna get trapped in flooded waters." A man that worked for Mr. Collin told us all.

"Let's pack the cakes," said Mrs. Collins.
