Ch 173: Deceived

"Hello, my name is Kelly. May I take your drink order?" She flashed her flickering eyelashes at Orlando. Gosh, Kelly was like Tracy's clone when it came to flirting.

"We'll take the most costly bottle of wine," Orlando replied.

"I would also like a water," I said and of course no differently than Tracy, Kelly ignored me. She wouldn't even look at me and went to walk away.

"Excuse me!" Orlando shouted aggressively. "You best show your respect to my date or else you will be fired!"

"I'm so sorry, my lady," Kelly's eyes looked at me with embarrassment and shame on her face. "Is there anything else you might like?"

"No, a water will be all," I scowled at her before she did a faint bow and walked away, likely going somewhere to cry.

"She's fired!" Orlando was extremely furious but I smiled at him.

"Thank you for sticking up for me," I said feeling fortunate. "Kai would've flirted back."

Orlando's brows knitted disgusted and he asked, ranting on. "How could he find another woman more desirable? You are the most beautiful woman on this earth! Not even a supermodel surpasses your radiance. Let alone a waitress!"

I was awestruck by his ongoing compliment about me. Honestly, I never knew he was that attracted to me.

"Why don't we forget about that and dance?" I asked him giggling in the hopes to cool him down.

"It would be my honor," Orlando said and then he stood up to take my hand into his. Then we whirl in slow cycles and dance romantically to piano music playing. Not once could I stop gazing into his eyes. I felt like Cinderella because the time of night passed me as if I was floating in the clouds.

Orlando pressed his forehead on mine and whispered when he asked. "After the divorce, will you be mine again?"

My heart flutters against my chest. And I knew in my heart that everything will be ok between us. Something powerful within his eyes gave me that security.

"Always, I have been yours and I always will be," I whispered heartwarmingly. Then my lips drew into his like a love spell was cast upon me but I didn't care. I've known my heart has always loved him. Even though I keep trying to block him. I know in my soul I can't do that anymore.

"Hello," I answered my phone as I was driving back from shopping to head back to the Mill mansion. Today was my Court date and Orlando told me to come to the mansion and then we'd leave together.

The lady over the phone spoke. "Hello, Mrs. Collin, I'm calling to inform you that your court hearing for the divorce will be held at the white hall court, not the east side court."

"Ok, I was just heading to the mansion to meet everybody." I asked, puzzled. "Is it still the same time?"

"Yes, but there is no need to meet them at the mansion. Orlando and his family already left and will be waiting for you," she notified me.

"Ok, let me turn around and I'll be over," I said my goodbye and ended the call. I pulled into a parking lot and turned back around. I called Orlando inside my car but there was no service. Well, I'm sure he'll be there, I didn't have to doubt that.

Within fifteen minutes, I arrived at the other court. I parked but still didn't see Orlando's mustang anywhere or his family and the lawyer. They're likely on the way here soon, I figured since I had a head start to get here. I went inside and a guard led me to the courtroom that had a very creaky pull door. I walked in and saw nobody. Not even the judge was here. I crossed the wooden swing gate and went to take a seat at the complainant's table.

"Did you really think I'd let you go through with this!" This sharp voice said behind me. I turned around shocked to see Kai, Rome, Glenn, Jack, Ivan, and Ace there. I looked everywhere since I never heard them enter past that creaky door or Kai walk past the swing gate.

"What are you talking about?" I asked firmly and noted Kai's stance looked antagonistic and he had his eyes covered by those sunglasses.

"We aren't getting a divorce," he tenaciously revealed. "You are coming back home."

I knew he'd go back on this!

From my purse, I pulled out the signed divorce papers and tried my best not to yell. "You signed the papers! Therefore I am! You cheated on me so I will never be with you!"

In one swift move, Kai snatched my papers and then took out a lighter from his pocket. "What are you doing!"

He lit the papers up in flames and this red smoke from the ink ignited.

"These weren't real divorce papers, I signed," Kai confided. "The red flames are from the false print like counterfeit money."

"You tricked me!" I spat backing away but he came closer once the papers were nothing but ash on the hardened floor.

"I did," he admitted when he stepped on what was left of the small lit flames.

"I won't be with a cheater!" I yelled, keeping my distance as he kept invading my barrier space.

"I never cheated and you aren't keeping me apart from my offspring any longer," Kai started talking crazy nonsense.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused. "What do you mean your offspring?"

Ivan sighed loudly from behind Kai. "Take it easy on her."

But Kai wasn't in the mood to do such a thing. "Come on Victoria, you haven't figured it out between the puking and dizzy spells?"

I cycled my back behind the jury seats to get away from this psychotic husband and asked. "Figure out what?"

"You're pregnant, Victoria," Kai plainly said but it wasn't possible.

"You're wrong!" I gnashed. "I've been on birth control and took the morning-after pill during our honeymoon!"

"You honestly think you were on birth control and took those morning-after pills? Kai snickered, asking me.

I challenge his mockery. "Then what was I taking?"

"Fertility pills, my love," he answered me coolly and I looked at Jack's guilty face.

"You all deceived me!" I said angrily and Kai nodded his head not denying this truth. "It doesn't matter because the pregnancy tests were false and my ultrasound didn't show any baby growing in my womb! You're delusional to think I am pregnant, Kai!"
