"AAAH!" Crystal screamed and leaped into Zach's arms from this creepy clown jumping out at her. Everyone laughed uncontrollably to see it happen.
"It's just a fake clown," Zach teased and then kissed her cheek as he protected her from the evil fake clown.
"I don't care!" She yelled. "Fake or not, I hate clowns!"
"I'm being It this Halloween!" Orlando, teased her.
"Don't make me hurt you Orlando!" Crystal giggled with the rest of us walking together in the darkness. Inside the walk-through of the haunted house.
Next up, we walked through a zombie theme area. Pop! Growl! A bloody-looking zombie prop lunged out at us right in front of Alejandro. I swear you could hear the old spring in it just about breaking off.
"Man, this place is so cheesy!" Alejandro cracked up like the rest of us. "That thing is going to break off the spring and crush somebody."
"Maybe that will be an improvement!" Vanessa giggled and Alejandro kissed her lips.
Yeah, they certainly had something going on between them. Then again, Alejandro does keep his doors open for multiple women to keep him busy. He always finds a girl on any trip and place we go together. Since he's always the oddball that never comes with a date when he tags along with us. But he always made sure to get one. So this wasn't anything new for us.
"Finally!" Crystal ran out of the haunted house when she saw the exit. "I am never going back in there again!"
"Oh, Crystal, I love you," I hugged her and we still couldn't stop laughing at her reactions.
"Seriously, that haunted house was so corny," Alejandro teased his younger cousin.
"It was but it made some good memories," I laughed as Orlando smiled heartily at me but I had to expel that. "Let's go ride the haunted coasters and the mining well."
"Victoria, you are so lucky I love you, or else I wouldn't be doing this," Crystal declared and I still couldn't stop laughing at her.
Bestie or not, she and I were complete opposites when it came to horror stuff.
Nevertheless, we rode the scary ride and Crystal screamed when a giant spider landed inches away from her and Zach's cart seat in the mining-themed coaster.
"Now it's time for the water rides," Orlando gloated once we got off the last scary ride. All I could do was teasingly roll my eye sockets at his remark. I knew what he was up to.
~~~
"Don't you dare!" I shout before a big waterfall drenched Crystal, Vanessa, and me while the guys seemingly stayed dried on this ring boat we were in, on this wild water ride. Finally, it was over and the last water ride to go on. Once that boat ring stopped I got off it as fast as I could without face-planting myself.
"Let's get some lunch," Orlando said chuckling while he watched me ring out my wet hair.
"I'm sitting in the sun," I giggled.
Next to me Vanessa rang out her red shirt and approved, "I'm with you on that one girl."
Meanwhile, the guys couldn't stop laughing at the fact that Crystal, Vanessa, and I were pretty much soaked in our short shorts and spaghetti-strap tops. While they were pretty much dry. Altogether we started to walk around and got in line to get some food. Luckily, it was so hot, my hair and clothes mostly dried while we ate.
Afterward, we rode on the spinning rides that further dried whatever dampness was left on my outfit. Then the guys wanted to play prize games, of course. Us girls kinda hung back to ride on the carousel and watched them nearby.
"I can see Orlando really loves you," Vanessa indicated as she rode up and down on this black horse.
"I know he does," I didn't deny it but I wanted to decline this conversation from starting. Unfortunately, I was on a white horse between her and Crystal while we rode on them in a slow cycle.
"Do you think you'll give him a chance?" Crystal asked, from her brown horse.
"Honestly, I don't wanna talk about this right now," I stubbornly said.
Saved at the right time, the ride stopped and we got off to let the next group of people get their turn.
We walked about trying to find the guys.
Just when I looked over I saw Orlando found us with Zach and Alejandro. He had this cute smile plastered on his face. And I noticed he had something hidden behind his back. Once he reached me, he then revealed what he was hiding behind his back. I was in awe to see he won me a cute blue and purple rainbow stuffed animal kitten.
"I won this for you," he smiled and gave it to me.
At any carnival, amusement park, and fairground he always made sure to win me a prize. He was good at hustling these games and knew how to win them.
"Thank you."
I leaned in to kiss his cheek but Orlando pulled a sly one on me and turned his face. My lips snatched his and he kissed me passionately. Then I pulled away blushing pink and feeling brightness making my cheeks flare a glowing peach color. I tucked a straying hair behind my ear and acted like it was my first kiss even though it wasn't.
"I'm getting some funnel cake and cotton candy," Crystal giggled and started to push everyone away. "Will be at the umbrella picnic tables!"
I was fairly dazed when they ambled away so strangely and giggled fairly loudly at that.
Then Orlando said apologetically, "I'm sorry I kissed you. I know you need your space."
Reality was gone from my mind for the moment and I felt truly strange. Lovesick weakness jittered my knees and I know I was still blushing a peachy complexion. Me trying to keep a firm wall up to this gorgeous man was failing me. I'm pretty sure he even knew it too.
