Ch 166: Unexpected Visitor

My mind was still cloudy from that happening. Honestly, it was very strange to feel something so influential with Orlando again. Sometimes I did like his boldness and daring moves. Other times, I didn't but right now I felt that old spark between us. Before Kai came between us, it was the same fireworks that we had together.

I took a breath and was about to say something until I saw an unexpected visitor, standing far behind Orlando as the crowds walked around him.

Jack was there as if he was spying on me. And I knew by that disgusted expression on his face he surely saw Orlando kiss me.

"I'll be back," I handed Orlando the stuffed kitten. "I'm going to use the restroom."

"Why don't I come with you?" Orlando offered.

But I giggled at him and shot him down. "I'll be right back. I'll meet you guys up at the picnic tables."

I didn't give Orlando a chance to talk and stepped around him. I didn't lie and found the nearest restroom. I used it and then went out the opposite doorway from my friends. Then I roamed about where I saw Jack and little to behold. I found him at the gate of this ride between two stands staring at me. The sure look on his face confirmed that he was waiting for me to find him.

"What are you doing here, Jack?" I came up to him rather aggressively.

"It's a free world," Jack gave it right back. "Last I checked I can go out and come to the amusement park if I wish to."

"Like I seriously believe that!" I snarled my voice high. "You're spying on me and I know it! Kai put you up to this, didn't he?"

I wasn't sure what got into me but my emotions felt off. Normally, I am never this emotional or defensive. Perhaps, Kai finally pushed me over the edge of my breaking point. I could tell by the look on Jack's face that he was shocked by my aggression toward him. But that didn't stop him from scowling his eyes darkly at me.

"No, he didn't," Jack got snippy. "I just randomly ran into you kissing Orlando! You have no idea how much pain you caused my friend!"

"Don't even try to guilt me out! After everything Kai did to me! You have no right to say that! Even after he ruined my life! I still tried to make things work in our marriage. I should have known he'd go behind my back and sleep with another woman! He's the real player, not Orlando!" I slashed out harsher words at him.

"Kai loves you," Jack nearly spat at me. "He never cheated on you..."

I cut Jack off from speaking as emotions override me. "You weren't there that night I found him in the alley having sex with another young attractive woman! You weren't there whenever he flirted with Tracy during our honeymoon!"

"It's not what you think..." Jack tried telling me.

Until I shut him up. "Don't you dare defend him! If it wasn't for Orlando saving me, Rex would have probably killed me that same night Kai was busy with another woman."

"Victoria, you don't even know what you're saying," Jack said, truly upset. "Kai loves you and he is so lost without you. Before you go through with the divorce. You should hear him out."

"Kai never even cared enough to visit me in the hospital!" I gave it right back to him. "Why would I care what he has to say!"

Jack looked at me utterly stunned. "Is that what Orlando told you?" He asked, appalled.

"Crystal told me," I hissed.

"You honestly believe that?" He asked snarling. "I was there that day they blocked Kai from you seeing you!"

"Like I seriously believe you," I snapped rudely. "You've all lied to me from day one. You told Orlando and my friends I was dead! How could you expect me to believe you?"

"You're walking between the eye of a storm," Jack viciously warned. "Kai never cheated and he did come to see. But your cheating ex-fiance made sure he couldn't visit you!"

I didn't have a chance to refute Jack because he stepped forward and left me standing right here alone. I turned around and saw him disappear into the crowd. Just like that, he was gone so quickly. I scrambled around to see if I could spot him but there was no trace of him. Yeah, the park was huge but he was just here a second ago. Now he vanished as if he was never here.

"Whatever!" I was so aggravated and stopped looking for him. I turned back and found my friends at the umbrella picnic tables. My eyes gaped to see they had ice cream, funnel cakes, cotton candy, and candy apples.

"Wow, you guys really went all out," I stated, taking a seat between Orlando and Alejandro.

"None of us could decide what we wanted. So we grabbed whatever at random lines," Alejandro said chuckling as I started to eat off the same funnel cake as Orlando.

"Are you alright?" He frowned asking me. He could tell I was upset.

"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" I asked him a question to throw off his assumption.

I knew he saw what I did but he let me drop it. Underneath the table, I felt him rub my leg. It was gentle and soothing, so I knew he was trying to comfort me. I looked at him with a thin delicate smile and let him know through my eyes. I appreciated that he was trying to comfort me. Gently, he smiled back before he kissed my temple.

Across from us, I looked up at Crystal and saw she had a light smile on her face. Everybody was randomly chatting with one another. So I could pick up on the fact they weren't trying to interrupt Orlando and me talking to each other through our sight, and not with our mouths. It was a special kinda talk Orlando and I picked up after knowing each other for so long. Honestly, pushing Kai out of my life and reconnecting with Orlando and everybody else I was forced to stay away from. Has really brought out the fond memories of what we've had together, especially with Orlando. Truthfully, Orlando was showing me nothing has changed between us.
