**Ch 310: Ran Into Orlando

The relaxing weekend was gone, and it was now November fourth. Today on Monday morning, I was excited to discover I am officially 19 weeks pregnant. Though, I still have a long way to go, I'm still thrilled about it. After I got ready, I drove to the university, and I was back on my daily agenda. Once again, time flew by fairly fast for my morning classes. As promised, Nora was fine after leaving my surprise birthday party this past Friday. Then I was more than glad to get away from Rebecca after Professor Mark had ended his class. Since it was my lunch break, I cautiously went to the cafe on campus to buy a non-caffeine coffee. It's been almost four weeks since I've been avoiding Tyler after I learned he's an enemy of the Collin Coven. Being on the safer side, I peeked into the cafe's windows, and once I didn't spot him, I went inside, still looking everywhere cautiously in all sections.

"Orlando!" Rebecca's voice giggled out loudly.

Rage charred my heart into black soot whenever I glanced over toward the left area to see Orlando, Rebecca, Zach, Alejandro, and a few more of their friends chilling together at the pool tables. It appeared as though Orlando and Rebecca were teamed up together against Alejandro and another pretty face he was with. Orlando always claimed to hate Rebecca. Now it would appear that isn't the case anymore.

"You need to hold the stick like this." Orlando chuckled as he overlapped his upper body against Rebecca's bent back to show her how to shoot the ball.

Upon her first attempt to shoot, she fumbled the stick in her hands and not only missed the solid yellow ball, but she also got the white ball in the pocket hole. Their bodies deflated into the pool table as they laughed at her pathetic shot. As they laughed uncontrollably, their bent overlapped bodies tightly pressed together from how they were conjoined over the pool table. I could tell by her body language, she was doing it on purpose to keep his interest. Though I suppose it worked in her favor because Orlando's cheeks were bright red on his face because of her. Even his attractive smile, and the way his chirpy voice chimed, all depicted how she had him laughing under her enchantment.

"I almost had it!" Rebecca giggled as she stood her posture straight once Orlando got off her backside.

"You almost did." Orlando praised her, and she bats her long eyelashes at him.

At this point, my heart couldn't bear to watch any more of it. All I can do is turn a blind eye to what my heart was witnessing, and get in the longish line. I ordered a toasty cappuccino, and then waited at the side counter for it to be made. After getting my coffee, I was about to walk out when Alejandro stepped in my way.

"Hey." He smiled.

"Hi."

I sorta awkwardly gawked at him for the moment until my brain finally registered to step aside and leave. But that didn't do me much good because I ran into Orlando. Rebecca was long gone, and so was the young woman Alejandro was with.

"I'll let you guys talk." Alejandro declared before he strolled away. For the moment, there was only this weird silence between my ex-fiance and me. Birds were whistling in our heads from how cringe-worthy this was getting between us.

Until he finally spoke after he scanned my figure. "You look gorgeous."

"After avoiding me, you have the guts to say that," I replied, getting snippy with him.

"It's not like you ever give me a chance to speak to you." Orlando justified, and he wasn't completely wrong though he wasn't entirely right because he's avoided me too.

"Have a nice day and life with Rebecca," I say, getting snappy again. I proceeded to storm off, but as usual, Orlando kept me from doing so when he grabbed my arm.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Orlando questioned me. "You tell me to move on, but now you're jealous because I went on one date with Rebecca."

"Hey, it's not my business who you date. So if you wanna be with trash, then go right ahead." I snapped, glaring at him maliciously.

"Why do you care?" he egged it on to exacerbate me. "You wanna be with your abuser, so why does it matter to you who I am with?"

"Shut up and leave me alone!" I snarled loud enough for others to look our way.

Orlando sighed as he looked around to notice many eyes peeking over at us. While he stood there dumbfounded on what to say next, I walked around him only to hear his footsteps come charging after me.

"Victoria, wait." He took hold of my wrist, not allowing me to leave. Not having much of a choice, I glared at him, and his eyes changed from being cocky to gentle.

"I'm sorry for what I said." He rephrased his words. "Can we sit down and chat like we used to? Ever since Kai got between us, all we do is fight. I don't wanna shun you or treat you badly. I just want us to get along like we always have."

My heart melted away. I must be out of my mind, but I indicated with my head that we could. "I'd like that," I smiled delicately. Together we found a booth to sit in.

"Wow, you're really starting to show for not being too far along in your pregnancy," Orlando commented as he helped me out of my jacket.

"Well, I found out I am having triplets." I blurted out nervously since I didn't know what else to say. Under the circumstances, the truth was the best I could say. Kai is going to have such a fit whenever he finds out I told Orlando the news. But I can't let Orlando know I am four months pregnant since he thinks I am likely two months pregnant. If only his Aunt didn't give me an ultrasound, then I wouldn't have to cover anything up with these lies. Orlando's face was utterly shocked. So shocked that his rear fell into the seat on the booth. Well, he took that better than how I thought he'd react. And he's not even the father.
