**Ch 369: It Takes a Vampiress

Coming inside from behind Rose were Ivan and Mia. After their romance in the dungeon, they heard about the news, so they quickly cleaned up to get here. Rose wanted to tag along, so Ivan made sure she and Mia arrived here safely.

"And what am I not seeing?" Kai inquired as he faced Rose next to him.

"It takes a vampiress to catch a vampiress," Rose replies. "I'm a pristine hunter in my second gift. I can track her down."

"No way!" Ace shot up from the couch, protesting. "You should be home with the baby. Speaking of him, who has the baby?"

Rose sarcastically retorted with a hiss. "He's outside on the sidewalk! Honestly, where do you think he is? I fed him and made sure he was safe with our mothers! Honestly, what kind of mother do you take me for?"

Ace was dumbfounded while everybody else tried not to chuckle. Except for Mr. Collin, Frank, and Ace's dad who was named Chris were the ones who didn't hold back their chuckles since they knew that a vampiress's postpartum mood swings were far worse than a woman's. Frank knew his daughter Rose was already difficult to handle, so now her mood swings were twice as bad.

For a brief second, Ace was stunned that she snapped so fast at him, so he sweetly coaxed her. "You're a wonderful mother, which is why I feel it isn't safe for you to get involved."

"I don't care what you think. The vampiresses and I can find her. Sharlene deserves to get her revenge," Rose explained while her voice was guttural from getting upset, but she was starting to relax.

Unlike the males, Rose had the confidence that she could find her. A vampiress like Savannah wouldn't stay cooped up in one spot for too long. She's the type who likes to have fun, so Rose could guess she'd come out of her hiding place soon. Their community may have been huge, but that did not mean Rose wasn't able to catch her.

"I've been waiting for this moment," Sharlene commented as she stood up to stand with Mia and Ivan.

Jack disagreed as he got off the couch. "You're pregnant. You could get hurt."

"Speak for yourself!" Sharlene retorted. "You're the one who got seduced by her."

Jack's skin tone flushed red since he didn't know how to argue with that one. His ego has been scorned ever since he was taken down by Savannah.

"None of you vampires can do it without us. Jack is proof that you all need our help," Mia refuted her opinions, and the vampires groaned.

They didn't want the vampiresses involved because it wasn't a safe situation.

"Plus, you'll be with us. We'll need bait," Rose added, which had the vampiresses giggling because the mateless vampires would be the bait.

Over at the tables, with her husband Eric and his advisors, Veronica remarked, "Don't forget to take Evan with you."

A lot of the vampiresses giggled louder at her comment.

"If everyone agrees, then you can go," Kai declared as he looked at most of the vampires, especially at their husbands if they were married.

Rose wasn't wrong since she knew how to track, and after having a baby, her senses would be twice as sensitive. One way or another, Kai knew she would find Savannah because she was right. To find a vampiress, you would need another vampiress for the job. And Kai had a whole flock of vampiresses ready to help. Each one of the females in his Coven were stringent warriors like them, especially when they worked together. Now that Rose wasn't pregnant, Kai got one of the toughest female warriors back in action. All he needed was the vampires in his clan to agree to it.

Seeing the desperate plea in Kai's expression, Ace sighed. "Alright, Rose can do what she does best," he agreed.

"We'll be by their side, so I say let's do this," Ivan encouraged the rest of the guardians. Soon the married guardians in Kai's clan agreed to let their wives do this risky hunt.

"Let's go kick some butt!" Leah cheered, walking over to Sharlene and Mia.

She was more than ready to go. Altogether, with a few of Kai's cousins' clans, the vampiresses left, and the vampires followed at a safe distance.

Back at the old abandoned mansion Rex and his clan have been living in, he had just gotten dressed, and then he walked to his window from inside the bedroom he had picked to stay in while Victoria was asleep in his bed.

Coming inside, Savannah entered as she peeked at Victoria on the bed. Only a sheet covered her nakedness, and it was stained in her blood. It's been three days now since Rex had claimed his prize.

Savannah saw Victoria was near death, so she asked, going to him. "What is your plan with her? You know she'll die soon with those detained vamp babies inside her womb."

Rex smirked. "We'll have to do surgery. I've decided to keep her. Back at home, I have a place to hide her. Kai will never know where she is. Not even the Vampire Coven will be able to find her. Then, after I turn her, she'll be my pet forever."

"She's too weak for surgery," Savannah refuted. "She may not be strong enough to move."

Rex turned to glance at the sleeping beauty in his bed. "We'll have to boost her strength for surgery. In the meantime, everybody needs to start packing. We'll be leaving soon," he declared when he started to walk over to Victoria.

He sat at the bedside by her, and he touched the bare skin on her shoulder. Rex covered her up with the sheet as a minion opened the door to come in.

"Yes, Master?" he replied to Rex's mental call.

"Have someone help you bring in more firewood for the fireplace. My poor pet is cold," he ordered.

"Yes, my Master. I shall get right on it." The vampire bowed as he obliged, and then he left.

With his pinky finger, Rex wiped a teardrop away from the crease of Victoria's eyelid, and then he brought it to his lips to savor it. His eyes lit up as he got possessively engulfed by her lovely scent that soaked his bedsheets, which enticed him to ravish her again.

Off to the side, Savannah smirked because she had assuaged Rex's desire. She loved him so much that she did everything for him, and he did the same for her. In their weird relationship, they could bed whoever they wished to keep themselves entertained. Neither of them got jealous, because their relationship was strong enough to know they always had each other. Savannah was too good for herself to get jealous of another female. Her confidence in her beauty is one of the things Rex cherished about her.

"Let me draw her a bath. She'll feel more comfortable," Savannah proclaimed before she kissed his lips tenderly. Afterward, Rex ogled her sexy stride and swaying hips, disappearing into the bathroom.
