Low Grade Health Potion

~

Enzo took out all of the new materials he bought from the alchemist guild and placed them on the floor.

Luckily, he remembered he didn't have a container to carry water in so he asked Sally for a bucket before he came up to his room.

The room Mr. Silverwind gave him was a small one bedroom space with a bathroom that had a sink, toilet, and bathtub.

The game was very modern with things like that surprisingly. The buildings and lack of electrical technology gave it a medieval vibe, but things like plumbing were very modern.

Enzo picked up the black cauldron and put it on the portable burner that was sitting on the floor. The cauldron was much smaller than the one at the alchemist guild. It was only about 20 inches tall.

The portable burner was the most interesting thing Enzo bought.

It was a 2 by 2 ft stone slab with 1 foot tall walls. There was a metal grate sitting above the walls, covering up the fire wood already in the contraption. There was a side door that could be opened to put in more firewood when needed. There were also a few buttons on the outside walls. There was a red button with a fire symbol drawn on it and a blue button with what Enzo assumed was a wind symbol on it. He wasn't completely sure what the blue button did, but he believed it was to put the fire out.

Enzo pressed the red button, instantly lighting the firewood, and put the cauldron on top of the portable burner. He then poured enough water in to fill the cauldron 60 percent of the way.

He did this so if just using regular water in the same portion amount as the 3 star potion required of the purified water would make a 2 star potion, then using more water than needed would hopefully make a 1 star potion.

He waited for the water to start bubbling before taking one portion of bone marrow that was in a bottle with a large cork and one portion of the moon grass that was wrapped in a bundle.

He untied the moon grass first and threw it into the boiling water.

Then Enzo uncorked the bottle and shook the bone marrow out of the bottle. It was a mixture of solid and liquid, so it took some effort to get it out of the wide bottle.

Enzo then waited patiently for the materials to start getting softer in the water. After 5 or so minutes he realized it wasn't smart to wait for them to dissolve or he would be here all day if not all week.

Enzo then activated his Combine skill and got to work making the molecules connect with each other.

It took just 5 minutes for him to reach the point where the molecules were rushing to combine on their own.

Enzo backed out of the skill and waited for it to finish.

When the liquid appeared to be done, it was turned into a light red substance.

Enzo pressed the blue button on the burner, and as he predicted it somehow blew the fire out.

'It must be magic, because fire is supposed to grow stronger with more air…'

After that thought he decided to just ignore it for now and return to his potion.

Enzo put on his gloves and set out the 10 containers he bought from Marissa.

He was able to fill up all 10 to the brim with the potion he made.

Enzo then picked one of them up and inspected it.

[Low Grade Health Potion]

"Success!"

Not only was he able to make a lower grade potion, but he was able to make ten of them from the same amount of materials that would only make one medium grade potion.

All of this only cost him 51 silvers to make if he subtracted the cost of the cauldron, burner, room, and things like that.

"I would probably be able to sell each of these potions for at least 70 silvers, but probably more like 1 gold coin." He mumbled.

Enzo had nothing to go off of since there was no current market with low grade potions. He would be the one to start his market, so he would be the one to set the standard.

Enzo could even set the potion at 3 gold, but there wouldn't be many people buying it at that price as a medium grade potion was only 2 gold coins more.

"Now just to find somewhere to sell this."

Enzo knew he wouldn't be able to buy a shop just yet as he only had little more than a gold coin after the purchases he made today.

Enzo put everything back in his inventory and went down the stairs then left the Silverwind Inn. He then went back to the adventurers guild.

"Hi, I am back Miss Madison."

"Hello again Atlas, what do you need?" The receptionist in the entry room asked.

"I would like to sell a few potions I made but I am not sure how to obtain a stall at a market or something like that as I cannot afford a shop just yet."

"Oh! I didn't know you were an alchemist. There are a few options you can choose. If you would like, we can buy them directly from you here at the guild. We sell potions and elixirs to adventurers at a cheaper price than alchemists do. The other option would be to pay 1 gold coin for a merchant license and to just set up a stall somewhere in the city."

"Okay, how much would the guild pay for a low grade health potion?"

"Low grade? I have never heard of that."

Enzo didn't answer the hidden question and just gave her a smile.

After she realized he wasn't going to answer Madison continued, "Well, you will have to speak with the guild master if it is really a low grade potion as we don't have a price for those."
