"Well, let's just hope nothing happ-"
"YOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO ALLLL TOGETHERRRRR!"
Enzo suddenly heard a deep voice singing what sounded like a sea shanty.
He turned his head to where Kenny was standing.
"HOIST THE COOOOOLLLORRRRSSS HIGH!"
"Cereal Killer. What the hell are you doing?" Enzo asked.
"I'm singing a sea shanty." He responded as if it was obvious.
"Sigh."
Enzo had forgotten just how eccentric Kenny could be at times.
There were many instances at the convenience store where his eccentricities were displayed while the two were working together, but Kenny did a good job of tricking others into thinking he was normal for a while.
"Hahaha."
Jane was standing near where Bella and Enzo were, so he could hear her not so silent chuckles at their ex-coworker's antics.
"HEEEAAAAVEEEE HOOOOOOOO!"
Kenny continued with his song and the others decided to just ignore him.
Enzo and Bella went back to conversing until they made it to the island.
They could see 7 other ships following them in the distance, but there was enough distance between them that Enzo wasn't worried at all.
~
"Hey Atlas, we got a problem." Ivan said as they reached the island.
"Haha. Nah we don't."
Ivan frowned.
"We don't have an anchor."
"I know."
Enzo saw the problem as it occurred. He himself did forget that they would need an anchor as well, but he soon realized it would not be that big of a problem. The group could always just jump from the ship. They were on their way to becoming what humans would call super heroes. Their bodies could most likely withstand jumping off of a ship onto the beach without injuring themselves. If not, then they could always just jump into the water and let the boat crash with no passengers.
"You want us to jump?" Ivan asked.
He quickly understood Enzo's thought process and was able to guess what he wanted them to do.
"Yeah, and we can just repair the ship if we need to."
"Okay."
"Alright, time to jump ship everybody!" Enzo shouted.
They were very close to the island now so it was time to depart.
The new island looked exactly like the other did. It had a large beach with a jungle attached to it. The jungle looked very tropical and dense, so Enzo could tell it would be fun to explore.
Oddly, most of the group didn't even question Enzo's orders and immediately followed his lead and jumped into the shallow part of the sea.
The only people who gave it a second thought were the newcomers Bella and Kenny. Though they quickly abandoned their doubts seeing as the others jumped in as well.
The ship made a large creaking sound as it hit the sand and lodged itself into the beach.
"Yeah, it's not going anywhere I think we're good." Ivan said.
Surprisingly it looked like all of the wood held up well and didn't even crack, it just made a few sounds.
"Should we split up?" Bella asked the group.
Before anyone else could respond, Enzo spoke up.
"No. We are going into an unknown area, so splitting up could be extremely dangerous."
"Haven't you seen those scary movies where the group splits up and it ends up being the worst mistake of their lives?" Juliet asked her.
"Yeah, my bad I wasn't thinking about that. I just thought we could cover more ground while split up." Bella responded.
Enzo was worried for a second that Juliet's comment might upset Bella who seemed to be relatively shy and reserved, but surprisingly her response was very mature. The short interaction also showed her ability to change her mind and admit when she was wrong. Most people their age usually wouldn't act like this. Enzo doesn't blame them for not doing so as they are still technically just teenagers, but it was nice to see someone with those positive qualities.
"Why are you smiling?" Bella asked Enzo.
He hadn't even realized he was smiling.
"No reason. Just excited to be in this dungeon." He lied.
Bella's maturity and open mindedness was attractive, so he couldn't help but smile at the short interaction between his friends.
"Let's create a formation before we go into the forest." Enzo suggested.
Everyone agreed with this as it was standard to do so in RPG games like this anyway.
"We can start with introducing ourselves and our skills so everyone is aware of these things and we can work around our skills and weaknesses." Hephaestus said.
"Good idea, I'll go first. Hi, my name is Atlas-"
"Hiiiiiii Atlassssss." The group said in unison.
"..."
"Pffffttt! Hahaha!"
"Hahahaha!"
"Hehehe!"
Everyone started laughing at the fact that they all thought of the same joke.
"This is not an alcoholics anonymous meeting." Enzo said playfully before continuing.
"I am a monster slayer, so I use a bow, katana, and daggers. My skills allow me to see the weaknesses of monsters and I cause more damage to monsters I see as an enemy. I am also an alchemist so I can break down and combine things."
"I'll go next." Ivan said.
"I am Prometheus. I am a thief so my skills allow me to steal any one item from a player or monster that doesn't detect me. There is a 10 minute cooldown on that skill. I also have a stealth skill that helps me to go undetected. My subclass is artificer, so I can create things easily."
Hephaestus went next.
"I'm Hephaestus. I have the same skills as Atlas because I am a monster slayer. I am also a blacksmith, which is like a combination of an alchemist and artificer."
Then Juliet introduced herself.
"My name is Pepper. I am a stalker, so both my skills allow me to track monsters and players better. I am also a runesmith, which in the future will allow me to enchant things. I don't know any runes just yet though."
Vincent went after Juliet and introduced himself to the group.
