Chapter 5

Chapter 5.

When they arrived in Washington D.C., Robert was openly welcomed. Everyone was there to meet him and they were so happy to have someone like Samuel on their side. Robert was gallant and kind to everyone. The doctors, as well as the scientist were ecstatic. They were already contemplating their first experiments. Since their discoveries from Linda, their funding had grown tenfold.

Robert finally met the administrator in charge and

requested a meeting to discuss his future at the foundation. He

also requested that all of the important officials be at the

meeting so that there would be no disagreements later. The

administrator agreed fully and as he was about to leave, Robert

grabbed his arm and said: "Oh, and do invite the psychics, I'm

sure they will play a major role in the future."

The meeting time had arrived. Varying professionals were entering the large room as Robert sat at the head of the long table. The psychics were the last to enter. They had objected to attending the meeting and felt uncomfortable. When everyone was seated, the administrator, at the end of the table opposite from Robert, stood up and welcomed everyone to the meeting.

He then motioned to Robert and said: "Robert here is our new and honored member to the foundation." Would you like to say

a few words before we begin?" Robert stood up as the administrator sat down. He was only eighteen, but there was no child in him

now. He spoke slowly and with sincere confidence. "I have traveled

these past few weeks where none of you could ever go. I have

seen the beauty of love in its truest form and only I and God himself

know the true value of life." Some of the members become a little

nervous. "You have taken life. My dearest friends,

they call me no more." There is an attempt for rebuttal while

other members are beginning to show signs of their shame. Robert leaves no opportunity for a pause. "Secretly, you wait for

me to choose my wife. You have even made plans of mating me

with one of your own. I will not tell you how I know these things, but I will tell you that I am aware of every branch and every official involved in this detestable and horrible invasion of moral decency. I am leaving here today and if I ever sense your presence or anyone of your associates, I will send you and them into an eternal living hell." Everyone was very upset by now.

Some were angry and attempted to protest. The three psychics

were headed for the door but they were too late. Robert filled

the room with a paralyzing pain. Everyone suffered, especially

the psychics. They were more vulnerable. There was no sound

to be heard as they were all painfully paralyzed. Robert then increased the pain into an internal feeling of a fire burning inside them. He released their vocal cords and the room filled with a most terrifying scream. A scream, never heard before,

except maybe from the depths of Hell. The unison of the sound

was like a chorus as it echoed throughout the halls of the foundation. It was enough for them to remember for a lifetime.

When the pain ceased, everyone fell to the floor or over onto the table in exhaustion. Robert's mission was complete. He felt no pity as he walked down the long hallways to the exit of the building and the entrance of a long and mysterious life.
