In love with Sasa

We were able to work out something with her eyes and had surgery to take off the tumor that grew near her left brain. The brain surgery was a success and for several months now, Leila have been recovering and still able to speak, move and all. But her thighs need to be singled out among the dangerous and delicate surgeries she would need to go through that can still become a failure losing her legs and feel of her half body, starting from the waist down. Leila didn't want to lose her feel of her half body since she still wanted to make love to me. But I told her if it'll be for her own good and to prolong her life, I would risk it and go through the surgery. The doctors advised that it's uncertain but Leila would could still feel her thigh and private part if they would just remove her artificial legs and stay with her original ones but wouldn't be able to walk anymore.

Leila need to use a wheelchair from then on. I told the doctor that we will talk about it but Leila agreed to it. It's okay since she's already used to using a wheelchair but it's better than losing everything as long as she wouldn't lose me. I assured Leila that I'm half past my age and I love her. I wouldn't look for another woman since I already pledged my life and heart to her. Leila smiled and cried then both of us agreed to the surgery.

I remembered a movie I was able to watch with Leila about two lesbians who lived in together and bought a house that was named after her partner. That when her partner died, since their relationship is just seen as friendship and not as couple because they're women in the olden times. She wasn't able to visit and see her partner's death and even funeral. She was not a family and she couldn't divulge her identity since the nephew of her partner is a rich, materialistic and greedy man along with his bitch wife, only thinking about the house and the property to be sold.

Nowadays, all over America and some parts of Asia, Europe, Africa and etc. already believes accepts and celebrates LGBTQIA+ marriages, partnerships and legalities on properties, possessions and money. It's just sad that there are still some people who disdain, disrespect and discriminate a queer community who are in fact, creative, sweet, peaceful loving, compassionate, generous and lovely beings. That, though, they are different in gender or culture, we need to accept them as human beings. We are all equal and we all have our differences. Why then their uniqueness be an issue when some of us are corrupt, womanizer, liar, pessimist, addict, thief, etc. We have our own weaknesses just like them who have their whole lives battling inside a feeling, psychological, biological inconsistency that is uneasy, scary and sometimes stressful on their part since it takes great courage to stand up for what you feel and what you believe in in spite of your family, friends, people are against, bully, avoid, make fun and exclude, you.

Leila is still asleep and I tried to busy myself by overlooking, not from the hut we first stayed in last time but the home I bought for her. It's all wood with open windows, front and back porches. It has three floors, with a pool and a tub which Leila always wanted to stay on to relax her muscles and legs. I caught on a book online, actually on morebooks.shop entitled Power of Love by MVManalo (or Maria Victoria T. Manalo). I have heard of the author back in the days when I was about 15 years old, she was just a contributing writer with a religious book and one that was published with St. Paul's Publication. But I kind of forgotten about her, but while browsing online, Webnovel,, right! I saw her pseudonym and the novel. Then, read some parts of it. But when Google flashed her book which is now available online, I didn't hesitate to buy one for me and Leila to read.

The author is a mom and a loving person who experienced a lot in her young age, and I'm sure she can inspire Leila to get well faster and be brave enough to face the challenges she or we are facing now. I wanted to relax and have a calm week since Leila and I have been in and out of the hospital these months. Thank God that the wait is over and Leila finally can come home and not think about her chemo or her surgeries. Anyway, she's done with her eye surgery and her legs are perfectly healing which means it's a matter of time if she needs a surgery or not. The doctors diagnosis was if Leila heals, she doesn't need to go through another surgery. And in our solemn prayers and optimism we are positive that she'll heal herself in the process and no longer needs one to recover or walk in the future.

Right, the book.Hmmm...uh!!!, I thought while sitting at the living room where I can see Leila at the corner room so I could come to her aid if she need something or what have you.

Chapter 1

My friends and family call me Kat Stevens, no, no, not the singer but Kat with a K though my full name is Catherine, they mistake me as a relative of a famous icon. I haven't met him cause I think this current era only knows Cardi B, Drake, Taylor Swift and many more artists who are known for their songs uniqueness and sophisticated looks. I love Axel Roma, the rising pop star who does songs in between pop alternative and rock but in the new kind of way. I don't know I have been talking with her on Twitter since she and her friends helped me getting over my ex-boyfriend who really hurt me a lot during those times. Yet it's been five years now and as if it never happened. I moved on and looked into my future with Axel, aaaaaaahhh!, she's so cool and romantic. She sends stuff online, like pictures, cute emojis and inspiring quotes. We really connected and it's an awesome feeling. I never believed it at first but messages continued flooding on my app and it made me realize that maybe, times changed. Artists now a days really take with their fans, comfort them or even fall in love with them in the process. Anyway, I just graduated from college and for five years, I have been doing my own thing online since I love creating art on social media, I managed to fend for myself using my talent and built my own company. My simple skill in drawing and coloring paved way on getting me clients willing to invest on my works so their companies can use them for their own. Natalia or Tali, my best friend along with my team of four, build artworks and contents for brands and commercials, so we are always busy for photo shoots and editing. I hardly take a day off since I manage everything in perfection for it is always my motto in life. Though I am not perfect myself, but in my work and my business, everything needs to be in line with perfection. Right, beautiful, in tune and in tone for my eyes, especially the eyes of my clients.

People say that I wouldn't make it on my own but I did and with flying colors. I have built my own company and my team have been working with models, artists and known individuals of politics and the media. Yet, I wanted one famous artist to ship us as her social media adviser for her brands and it's none other than Axel Roma. Anyway, let's start on day one when I met her during my college years.

Queen Grisel was the first wife of King Crono from the Montfort royal line. Though Lady Beatrice became King Cronan's wed wife, princess Aunt Gisel was his first love who happened to be a gay sorcerer and married Aunt Tessa. Lady Beatrice who was the cursed witch turned out to be the powerful angel who saved Montfort line from extinction. I was from Queen Grisel's line and I never had any communication with the rest of the family ever since my dad who was grand ma Queen's great grandson, left Tunisia with his mom, my grandma. Great grandma died and Lady Beatrice became queen with King Cronan's reign.

The rest is history for them but for me, it's just starting. Louis Leonidas Hope Stevens was his name when he left the castle but when my great grandma has a secret affair with a regular fellow, a farmer at St. Paul Vill. Nobody knows him but I think I recall grandma telling me a story about a Carlo Stevens. My dad was named after the princes' of Montfort yet changed it to Leo Hope Stevens. So they named me Catherine Star Stevens. My mom is Bridget Star who was a famous painter during her younger days. Until now, she posts her art on galleries here and abroad. Dad pursued his love for architecture, so both my parents passed on the talent for arts, architecture and fashion which I am now taking advantage for my company in the SEO business world.
