Chapter 32: Entrapment.

Olivia’s POV.

“He’s late,” Pauly grumbled fixing his shirt collar and pulling it out from his neck.

“Tolbert will be here.” I quietly spoke to him from across the table.

“Five more minutes and I’m pulling the plug Olivia,” Pauly warned me, before he glanced quickly at Ellie.

He might have not fully committed his feelings towards my new roommate. But it was obvious to everyone around them that Pauly cared for Ellie. Of course, in a different way than he cared for everyone else. It was precious how careful he was around her. Even pissed at me Pauly was conscious of Ellie’s feelings.

“This place is nice.” Ellie observed breaking the tension.

“Tolbert insisted it was the nicest place in Chicago.” I sarcastically replied.

“I’ve seen better.” Pauly scoffed sipping on his water and rolling his eyes.
