"Samson, pull over."
After receiving Irvyn's direction to pull over, the driver hit the brakes with moderate force and came to a stop. Irvyn got out of the car as soon as it came to a stop and started walking in the direction of somewhere ahead.
"D-did I anger him?" Yvette, who was bewildered and only a little frightened, asked the driver.
"Anger him?" When Samson looked up ahead, he saw his boss going further ahead and entering a convenience store. "I wonder."
Yvette hummed in utter confusion as she stared at the driver, attempting to make sense of the meaning of the words he said as well as the expression on his face. However, it is true that she was not successful at all in doing so because all she could see was the standard mild smile that an attendee or a driver should always have on their face.
What does he mean, "I wonder"? Yvette couldn't figure that out.
But her predicament didn't last for too long because the driver soon started talking to her again with a smile that was different from the one he usually wore. "However, if you were to ask me how I see this, Ma'am, I would say that he is not angry at you."
Yvette eagerly looked up at Samson, and when she noticed that he was looking in a particular direction, she followed his gaze and found Irvyn returning with a small paper bag in his hands.
He returned to the backseat and handed Samson the paper bag. "Attach this."
"As you wish, sir," Samson gave a slight nod before pulling a small container out of the paper bag and placing it on a holder.
"What exactly is that?" Yvette's natural inquisitiveness could not be contained as she gawked at the seemingly harmless and adorable container from the bag.
Samson greeted her with a warm smile on his face as he responded to her question, "Humidifier, ma'am." He then activated it by connecting it with a simple device and turning it on. And immediately, the entire interior of the car was filled with a pleasant aroma of chocolate.
"Because they were out of everything else, the only flavor they had was chocolate. Perhaps this will help with the dryness, and it will certainly erase the smell of leather."
Yvette turned her attention to Irvyn and saw that he was looking away from her, staring out through the window. She was taken aback by his words and actions. Did he go to all this trouble and purchase a humidifier simply because she was overly sensitive to the odor that the car gave off? If this is the case, then he has a peculiar quality that sets him apart from others.
"The next time you see Samson, be sure to tell him about your go-to perfume. He will take the necessary steps to ensure that they are always prepared.
It's not a problem. I... prefer the chocolate ones" Irvyn was taken aback by Yvette's prompt response, which she delivered with a voice that was noticeably louder than it usually is. "I am grateful that you purchased this."
"Hum," Irvyn hummed in response, acknowledging her gratitude. And without any further words, he signaled his driver to start the car.

The car reached to the outskirts of the city, which took quite a while to arrive. The wheels smoothly glided over the smooth road, moving ahead along the road wide enough to pass a car. And when Yvette looked through the window, she could see tall ranges of trees from both sides of the road. Are they going to a jungle or what?
Soon, the car pulled over after going through a massive iron gate, and stopping before a giant mansion in front of them.
"Sir, Ma'am, we've arrived." Yvette broke from her train of thoughts by Samson's words.
"Get off," Irvyn spoke up, which made her jump on her seat, and she hurriedly got off the car. The sun had already set, and the moon was shining brightly above their heads, emitting soft silver glow everywhere around them.
Irvyn walked ahead towards the mansion, and Yvette followed behind. He went to the door, and pressed a few buttons on the dialpad near the door.
"4910," Irvyn turned his head slightly at her. "The passcode. Remember this." In response, he saw her nodding her head. He entered the passcode, and the door unlocked with a clicking sound. As soon as they stepped in the house, a lady in her early 50s came rushing to the door.
"Welcome, young master, and welcome lady Yvette," the olderly woman gave a little bow before addressing them.
"Thank you aunt Suzy. The dinner's ready?" Irvyn asked the lady, while removing his shoes and bringing out slippers.
"Yes, indeed. Since the weather was too hot today, I made something light to stomach for both master and the lady," aunt Suzy responded, while a soft smile clear on her face.
"Great. I'll be taking a bath first. Could you please show her to her room for me?" Irvyn handed Yvette a pair of slippers he brought while talking to aunt Suzy. "Slippers."
"Ah, yes," Yvette was blankly staring at the exchange of talk between the two people in front of her, so she didn't notice he had brought a pair of slippers for her.
"If this is not to your size, you can tell me, lady. So that I can add it to the purchase list tomorrow," Suzy added, while Yvette was still staring at the white pair of slippers in her hands.
"N-no, I think it will fit," she hurriedly put those on, and as she suspected, those were actually a good fit. "See? It fits."
"Ah, it sure does." Suzy grinned from ear to ear, before adding further. "Young master sure has a good eye on things."
"Ahhem, Aunt Suzy. Her room, now." Irvyn cleared his throat, which caused the elderly woman to stop talking and continue further ahead. What was she doing, going on and on and saying things that were completely unnecessary? "And you, get freshened up, shower if needed, and come down for dinner quickly."
After saying those words, he got up and walked toward the stairs, and then he was gone as soon as he reached the first floor.
