Tragic at School

Sun began creeping through the curtains and touched lightly on my eye-lids.

I blinked and proceeded to stay sleeping, until the heater kicked in and starting blowing air in the direction of my curtains. Trying not to get blinded by the sun, I covered my eyes with my hands.

Slowly waking from my bed, I turned to the pile of clothes that sat on my chair.

I seriously needed to do laundry, and I am the responsible one around here, I cannot afford to be lazy. Yet, I loved when mom would do it, she wouldn't mess things up.

I always do.

If you are wondering about how I pay the bills, well, in the event that both our parents passed away, the house became mortgage free. As well as, our parents had a trust fund for both me and my sister. Therefore, I set up my bank account to auto-pay our bills when they are due.

The money that is for my sister is in her own bank account, but I have put a large lump sum away, for when she gets a bit older.

Today was a big day for me and my sister; going back to school from vacation is the hardest thing. Especially since we were able to breathe and take a moment for ourselves, instead of worrying about school or who murdered our parents.

Unfortunately, school is upon us today and I only had a few months left, but I know it will feel like the longest few months and I cannot wait for it to be over.

That way I could focus more on my family.

I quickly got changed, took a second glance in my mirror to make sure I looked alright and I called down the hall to Serenity's room,

"Rise and shine! Time to get ready for school, we are not being late like all the other times."

As I was heading way way to the stairs, I caught a glimpse of my parents room again. The door was wide open and I saw that a few drawers were tampered with.

I went in and questioned myself why they were open.? Yet, there was nothing out of the ordinary and it didn't look like anything was taken, but why were they opened in the first place?

"Serenity, did you go into mom and dad's room this morning?"

"No, why?" She called out.

"Nothing, don't worry about it." I answered.

Strange. If Serenity wasn't in here, then who or what could have opened these drawers?

I closed the drawers and took a little gander around their room, but there was no evidence that anyone was in there and I closed their door behind me.

I just hope today is just an ordinary day and what happened last night and the nights previous were merely a figment of my imagination.  I can't deal with more of this weird shit. Thinking about those damn drawers too, like I just need a break.

I ran down the stairs to get my lunch ready and quickly get myself a bite to eat before leaving.

I remember our younger days, Mom would be calling us down to eat a good breakfast before we headed off to school and would make sure we packed enough in our lunches. I felt like I was a kid, when Mom did that, but she really did  mean well.

God, I was sure crazy and reckless back then, although, not Serenity though, she has always been so focused on her studies, as her goal is to be a Veterinarian and I know Mom and dad would be so proud of her.

She literally had a way with animals, as if she knew how they feel, and how they respond. Mom would always call her a "whisperer."

"I'm ready sis, lets get going."

We cannot afford to be late, and we came back from having a vacation. So that would look bad on both of us.

Serenity ran out of her room and towards downstairs to the door to get her shoes on.

I giggled and preceded to get my own shoes on.

Outside on the street sits a blue corvette; our parents gave this to me as an early graduation present; a month before they died.

I do not believe, things happen for a reason. I think it was a mere coincidence, that is all.

Now, I am usually not one to brag, but I love sport cars, as I like the thrill it brings. Even though, most of my friends say it's not anything special.

Oh whatever. I just think they are jealous.

We hopped in and headed to our High School.

The traffic was crazy this morning, so Serenity searched through the radio stations to find something good to listen too and then we heard a big hit song and she blasted the volume.

"This is such a sad song eh Crystal? But, it's just sooo good!?" Serenity beamed at me and I nodded as the traffic began to diverse and I revved my engine as we sped down the road.

At this rate we'll just make it, phew, no detention today. Don't need another fucking one with Mr. Cheeznit.

Hahah, I know, his last name gets me too.

We get into the parking lot and I go to my usual parking spot which is closer to the side where most of my classes are held, and I wave my sister goodbye.

"Have fun, I'll see you after school." She calls out to me after closing the car door.

She walks fast to the school, and I started collecting my things from the back seat.

Suddenly, I have this weird feeling; my stomach churns and my senses go nuts.

Something doesn't feel right, but what? I get out of my car, locked it and headed to my first class which happened to be Social Studies. I clenched my stomach, wondering if I ate something I shouldn't. Although, I skipped breakfast completely this morning, but I tried to ignore it.

Honestly, I wasn't a fan of history or what not, I'd rather be in English or gym. Man, they say it's not lady-like to be in an all boys gym class, but that's where all the excitement and adrenaline comes from.

The only thing about being in my last year is, I have to really pay attention in class and it's such a bore.

Just before reaching the door to the side entrance near my class, I noticed what looked to be like paint on Mr Roza's car.

He was my math teacher. He was a pretty sweet guy, kind of coo-coo at times, but knew his stuff and loved what he was doing.

I sensed something horrible and as I passed Mr Rosa's vehicle more closely, what I saw was horrific.

Absolutely horrifying!

There was an insane amount of blood everywhere, not paint, but blood!

I peered through a little patch where there wasn't any blood and to my surprise, in the drivers seat was Mr. Rosa!

The blood was intoxicating, my nose could barely control itself and my head began to swirl. I scrambled into my pockets and my bag, as I searched for my phone to call 911, but just my luck, I forgot it at home.

Just  fucking great!

I tried to run, but I was weak in the knees and almost fell to the ground. It took me forever to get inside and head down to the office.

I was panicking and could barely breath as I tried explaining to the receptionist to call the Police immediately and tell them there has been a death of a teacher.

She was astonished upon hearing my story, as if ai had something to do with it, but she proceeded to call the authorities right away.

Who could have done this? Sure, there were students that didn't like his teaching methods, but-but to kill him, it's unbelievable.

No way it could have been a student! I wouldn't believe it.

"Code Red' our school will be in total lock down until further notice, do not leave your classrooms until the authorities are on sight and then we will wait for further instructions. " Our principle announced over the intercom.

A few minutes past and you could hear the loud sirens surrounding the school. Not to mention the paramedics and officers locating Mr. Rosa and putting him on a stretcher.

I sensed it.

I can just see it now. A revolting sight, to which I never want to see again. I can't stand the sight of blood. I almost fucking fainted.

Then they would have two people to worry about.

I was waiting patiently in the waiting room in the entry way of the office, then a male officer came towards me.

"Are you the girl who reported the incident?" He asked.

I glanced up at the beefy, 6'7" Officer and nodded.

He was down right ugly. Sorry, folks, but this cop was far from my type.

"Please, come with me immediately." The officer grabbed my hand with an unnecessary tight grip and directed me into the principals quarters.

Ouch. Gee... tight enough bud?

My principal, my homeroom teacher and two other cops were already siting in the conference room and I smelt fear.

I entered the room and they all glared at me with suspicion in their eyes.

Why are they looking at me with such disgust? Oh right.... I must be their number one suspect. It's just not my day, not my day and I am locked up in here and all I want to do is get to my sister.
