You’re Destined

Back inside Elliot's house, which was half destroyed by Shayde's men.

"Elliot! Are you just going to let our brother take Crystal and let him get away with everything he has done?" Celia shouted as tears began to fill her eyes.

There was a bruise just underneath her left eye from when she got slapped by Shayde, and Elliot paced back and forth in frustration, Celia knew by his facial expression, that he was fully at fault with himself.

"Celia, I have to give up. I must surrender myself and not get involved any more than I already am. He'll kill you or worse and I won't let anything happen to you. I promised when our parents abandoned us, I would never turn into our brother or our deadbeat parents for that matter. I took you in so that you would grow up, being healthy and happy. Away from the pain, suffering and drama! To live a carefree life, Celia."

He slammed his fists on his dresser in rage.

"You are sounding just like Crystal, do you know that and how she swore to protect her sister, but guess what?"

"We have already gone through this Celia. Crystal and I are nothing alike, why can't you just accept it. She is a werewolf and a fairy, I am just a fairy Celia, she is better off being with someone with more of her father's bloodline"

"Enough chit-chat! We are taking you in Elliot! Come with us." One of Shayde's henchmen said.

All of a sudden a portal was conjured and just before they sent him through, he lashed out at the two of them, and ended up getting one through the portal, but sadly not the other.

"Do you honestly believe you could have escaped us, Elliot? Now, I'll be sure to let our boss know that you were trying to escape."

He was a bigger man, and he grabbed Elliot with little-to-no effort and Elliot was pinned.

"Elliot! Nooooo!" Celia cried out.

Suddenly the room began to shake and the furniture began to levitate and be thrown at the henchman. Elliot was able to break out of the threshold and nearly got flung to the wall by the dresser as it knocked the henchman on conscious.

Celia heavily breathed, as she continued their conversation before being interrupted.

"You're being stubborn, like always! You and she are so much alike, it's pretty humorous. The fact is, she is the Princess, technically speaking, our future Queen of this world! Do you realize what will happen to her if Shayde marries her? He'll most likely lock her up and throw away the key. All eyes will be on him, not her. I might be 8 years old, but I am smart as a mature adult and you know that you are her protector, so, start acting like it! I would much rather you be her king than Shayde!"

Celia used her fairy powers but exhausted herself in the process, so she lied down on the bed to catch her breath.

Elliot tied up the henchman and put him in the bathroom and locked it from the outside with a tiny spell and responded,

"I don't know what to do? Remember, I got stripped of most of my powers by Pricilla. A sadistic bitch, who couldn't accept rejection. So, without my powers, I won't have any chance against my brother, let alone defeating him and because of that, I am at a disadvantage here. Besides, even if I had my powers, Shayde is still much stronger than I am. He always had been!"

"Wait? That is not entirely true, you still have a little portion of your aura left. Pricilla might have stripped them, but they can be repaired by a fairy? All we have to do is ask Crystal to use her fairy powers, so she can repair you and then get her and her sister far away from Shayde." Celia answered.

Elliot shook his head in doubt and replied,

"Celia. You don't get it. How can I remotely get my powers, it doesn't make any sense. There are guards at every corner inside and out. Crystal is inside and without any of my powers, my chances are slim. Plus, Pricilla might be lurking around there too, I won't have any time to save Crystal, let alone her sister too.

Celia thought for a moment and her head fell to the floor and she took a long, deep sigh,

"Okay, fine. You have a good point, Elliot. I hate to admit that, but it is still valid. Well, what do you suppose we do? At this rate, we'll lose with your negative way of seeing things and I can be guaranteed you that. I only wished my powers were strong enough to heal, but unfortunately they are not.

"Celia. There is no 'we'. You are staying right here at home and preferably in the secret passage down in the basement. That way, even if Shayde's men were to come searching for you, they wouldn't be able to find you." Elliot replied.

Her eyes widened and she looked disappointed and answered,

"Whatever Elliot. I think I'd be great at accompanying you on this journey, but suit yourself." Celia jumped off the bed and left the room.

Sigh, what am I going to do? I want to save them both, but why would Crystal want help from me? She doesn't even want anything to do with me. The way she looked at me in disbelief. Those unique eyes of hers went stone cold. Fuck my brother, he completely had to make his mark, didn't he? I mean, Crystal was just getting to know me, and I, her. To start gaining my trust and then Shayde had to come in fire blazing and destroy any relationship I could have had with her. Elliot thought to himself.

Elliot then grabbed the bedside lamp and three it towards the wall, nearly giving the wall another hole. He was frustrated and felt defeated. Just as he was about to close his eyes, and come up with a plan, Celia came back into his room with a sword and shield and the note from the unnamed source.

His eyes widened and a glimpse of sparkle could be seen.

"See? Isn't that all you need? A little perseverance to get you on your way? You don't have long before they are to wed. Yes, they have the power to morph, which time is nothing to them, but you have a little journey ahead, but If you hurry now, you'll make it to the kingdom in no time. Save Crystal and her sister! I would love to have sisters, but not by the hands of our brother, but by your hand." Celia handed him the sword, the shield and the note.

"By me? What do you mean Celia?" Elliot was baffled.

"Marrying her, you big o' dummy. That's what I meant by you. If you marry Crystal, then I'll have gained two older sisters. I want you to be the one to marry her because if Shayde does, I won't ever get to see them both. I'll be alone, just like I have always been. I know I have you, but it's not the same." Celia expressed with deep passion.

Elliot smiled slightly and grabbed everything his sister brought for him. He hugged her before leaving the house.

Me, marrying Crystal, what a pipe-dream, but I guess only fate knows. Elliot thought to himself and replied,

"Thank you, Celia., I will try my best for you and hope I won't let you down."

"It was nothing big brother. I merely helped you see what you were destined to become. The rest is up for you to decide." Celia gleamed as she watched her brother walk to the front door of their house.

Mind you, the house was in complete shambles and the front door was barely hanging on to its hinges. It required full repair, but right now that will have to wait, as Elliot says,

"Do be careful. I mean it! You stay where it's safe and you do not come up until I come back. Is that understood? If, in the event, I have not returned, head to the Kingdom of Knowledge with the potions in the safe. You know the code."

"You can't be serious, you aren't talking about those potions?"

"I am being serious Celia, I know I have made those potions for myself and experimented on using them to heal, but I can't be selfish."

"But they are only used in dire emergencies!" She stammered.

"Precisely, if I have not returned you take them, so, please, promise me, Celia."

She nodded her head, hugged him tightly and then waved goodbye and headed for the passage in their basement.

She'll be okay on her own, I know she's only 8, but damn she has a fighting spirit and I am so proud of how strong she has become. I wonder what our future will look like down the road, what will fate have in store for us? Elliot thought to himself.

Elliot walked through the busted door and down the steps. He paused for a moment and looked back to look at his house one last time. He breathed in the fresh air; a journey awaited him, beyond his farmland and into the horizon. A journey to the Kingdom of Savages, where his brother was the ruler and had Crystal held captive and soon to be King of their world unless he could stop him before it was too late.
