Why Me

All of a sudden we appeared in the walls of a fortress. Shayde's castle I presume, as I never got to see any of it, just the basement being locked up n the cellar. It didn't seem like anything special, a stone castle, plain and old, but never mind that, I have one objective, to somehow find my sister.

I'm pretty pleased I have been taken, this way I have a better chance of finding my sister and getting us the fuck out of here. It is not going to be easy, but I don't have any time to waste. She is my number one priority, I just need to figure out a plan.

Shayde might think he won, but sorry bud, you don't know what you've done. I just need to get my sister and then get back home, where we can go in hiding, since going back to our house is out of the question. I can't imagine what she is going through and my God, she better still be alive!

"Crystal, there's much left to do and so little time. I would love to keep you entertained right now, but there are other matters I must attend to, my sweet." Shayde was glowing in victory.

He smelt like death. Not to mention he was a filthy animal. I could sense it through my veins, he was just like me. Yet, I don't want to categorize myself with him, he's on a different level than me.

"You mean executing your brother!" I yelled.

The only logical reason why he would want to is that Elliot was the one who found me and brought me into their world. Shayde was most likely worried that Elliot would ruin his plans once again. Also, I would hope he wouldn't execute their younger sister, but I believe, if anything they would lock her up. I mean, she is too young to cause any drama and she wouldn't be much of a threat to him.

"I don't think you should be judging me. As I recall, I believe you're very unsure about my brother anyways and therefore you have no say in what I do."

I don't care what he thinks.

I mean, even though, Shayde might have a point, that my trust for Elliot has depleted, but deep down in my heart something is telling me to give him a second chance. Fuck I don't know anymore.i have other problems to deal with.

"Honestly, it's your business, not mine, but I don't think you should kill him. I mean, you already have me; there's no reason for spilt blood, is there?"

He is literally inches from me, and he slowly slifes his fingers from my waist down.

Hell no!

"I love split blood, don't you," and then he grabbed the scarf that was wrapped around my leg, and sniffed it in front of me.

For a second there I thought he was reaching to into my pants.

He did not just do that!?

My stomach began to turn, and I turned away, and I could see from the look on his face, loved the fact that he knew my weakness all too well.

"Crystal, darling. I do not like my brother. I never have. I could honestly care less what happens to him. Besides, if I keep him alive, I would be deemed an idiot, knowing full well, that he will never stop trying to save you and keep you all for himself."

I belong to no one.

Haha, he got that right. No matter what though, he's an idiot to me. A big, fucking idiot who I sought to destroy. But Elliot, saving me puh-lease.

Then, appearing from the hallway in front of us was a tall, suited man with a clean-cut beard. He knelt before us and bowed his head. His hair was dark brown and curly, but very slick. He looked like he could run this joint, but he was only another one of Shayde's henchmen. He stared at Shayde and then me with bright hazel eyes and I turned my cheek.

Why I am acting shy all of a sudden. That's not me. Not me at all. Fuck. I don't think my plan of action is going to work. Not one bit. He probably has dozen of henchmen and to go through them all... seems impossible. Having hormones suck sometimes, I can't keep them in check sometimes.

Stop gawking over this henchman, seriously pull yourself together Crystal, What am I going to do?

"Desmond, welcome! You arrived at perfect timing. I sure hope Kacaber was not too demanding, as I have a favour to ask of you and do hope you're not too crunched for time?" Shayde says with a look of pure triumph.

"Thanks for the flattery, but there's no need for it sir and no, Kalacaber and myself are businessmen, so everything is mutual and we are indebted to you. Do not worry, I'm not crunched for time, I am here for a few days and may I add," and he stares over at me beside Shayde, and he continues, "if this is who you have been speaking of, well, this young lady is extremely outstanding."

Shayde grins ear to ear. Of course, he is happy. Not only does he have my sister, but myself as well and most of all, he was the one responsible for everything.

There is absolutely no way that this one man could single handling took me and my sister like this. There is not a chance. Someone must have helped him.

"Desmond, I am truly grateful for this young lady. She came into my life at the opportune time and you're right. She is beautiful. On her birthday in exactly two months, I'll be marrying her and you're invited."

Marriage!?

Did I just hear that right? He knew when my birthday was? He knows everything about me, I want to puke. I mean that is just cruel. Don't you think?  As if he wasn't cruel enough already, but to even consider marrying me on my birthday is so vile.

I did not say anything and stayed still. I looked up at him in fury and then turned back away, when he said we were to get married I did not think it would be two months right now!? Let alone, on my birthday!! He could probably sense my anger, but even I was taught at a young age, that misbehaving in front of guests was rude. Yet, right now do you think I give a damn?

"Crystal, don't look so glum sweetheart. Your birthday will be everything you've ever wanted. I'll give you one that you'll never forget. Trust me. I already have a few ideas in mind. So, cheer up won't you?"

My damn birthday? I can't let it happen. I won't, and you can bet my butt on that! I have to start planning something quick.

"It was nice to meet you Desmond. My name is Crystal Maysh, but do you already know that? Didn't you?" I muttered.

I completely ignored Shayde and you should've seen the look on his face right. It was priceless.

"I am sorry Desmond, can you excuse us for a minute." Shayde piped up.

Desmond nodded and Shayde grabbed my arm pretty tightly and dragged me down the hall.

"Ow! You're holding on too tight! Hey, where are you taking me?" I breathed.

We came to a door that was black with a red vine design on it and he opened it. Once opening the door, Shayde threw me on a bed that was nicely-made and slammed the door behind him.

Judging by a quick glance, this was Shayde's room.

I kid you not, he look so enraged, he was ready to blow a gasket or something.

"How dare you ignore me! Not only were you interrupting our conversation, but you made me look like a fool just now. Mark my words Crystal, if you act like that in front of me or any one of my henchmen again, I will personally make sure you never see your precious sister again. Who knows I might turn her into a prostitute or a hooker for my henchmen's pleasure. You wouldn't want that? Would you?"

"You wouldn't." I scowled

"I would. So, help me, you will only wish you hadn't been born. Don't tempt me, my love. I can make your life a living hell, as much as I can make it everything you want it to be."

If he wants to start, I'll make sure to end it.

"I don't care about your pathetic views, I only care about my sister and as I said, if you do anything to harm her, or if she's dead, I will never submit myself to you. EVER." I snarled back at him.

I won't let him defy who I am cut out to be and I sure as hell not letting him become the King of me either. I have to play this game until I come up with a solid plan to get my sister and me out of this hell hole.
