Chapter 11: Flower
John gets down from his ride, opens the car, brings out his blazer and puts it on. He returned the werewolf fang sword to the back of his car and brought out the car key.
He was about to get inside his car when one shadow sped up and showed himself in front of him. John was scared at first and wanted to attack the vampire.
"Hey, boss! Wait! It's Jethro, your favorite handsome vampire. Common boss cools down, but wait, did something happen to you today? Because you don't look happy today and this is not the most handsome werewolf, I used to know If you keep up that piquant face, you might turn ugly." Jethro suggested to John.
"Will you shut up, Jethro? Must you always joke about things?"
"Woooooh my boss is forming a strict dude, Common boss, smile for me," Jethro replied in a cheerful voice.
John moves closer to Jethro, frowning at his face, then warns him to keep quiet, else he might regret showing his face here.
"Huh? Oooh, I'm sorry, boss, forgive me, please don't kill me." Jethro gets overwhelmed with fears.
John keeps looking at Jethro with a frown face, while Jethro can't look at John's face because he fears him. John smiled and tickle Jethro, asking him to smile because he was only trying to scare him.
"Common boss, you startled the hell out of him, I thought I was going to die," Jethro said with a sad voice, "But trust me boss I know you can never get serious for that long, don't worry I won't fall for your next trick." Jethro finished the statement with a cheerful expression.
"But that doesn't mean you shouldn't know your place as my servant. So tell me, why are you here?" John gets serious.
"Have caught many targets for you and tied them down, but we have a minor problem," Jethro said.
"What is that?" John looks at him.
"Some of them are minors, and when will you stop killing the vampire's boss? Don't you think you have slaughtered enough?" Jethro couldn't look John in the eyes.
John becomes furious and then asks Jethro how he dare say such? And besides, the number of vampires he wiped out is not yet adequate because he wants to wipe them off.
"Huh? Boss! What about me?" Jethro shaking in fear.
"Jethro…, you know why I kept killing the vampires because my Popman said they're also interested in the throne that is meant for me alone! I can't let any vampires access the throne because it's mine alone! So until I kill them all before I find peace."
"But boss, you haven't even seen the throne or know where it's. Are you sure it is authentic?"
"Yes Jethro, it's real because my Popman will never lie to me and who knows, maybe after killing all the vampires I might discover the throne, and don't tell me you will fight with me in getting the throne from me!"
"No boss! I will never do such a thing."
"Then I will spare your life."
"You're the prince, boss, not me."
"Get into the car, let's do today's work, and don't forget my special request."
"Okay boss! I will keep looking for the throne."
Jethro responded and got into the car while John drove off the hill.
*Oceanside*
The throne was inside a clean room, while Alarick walked into the room and touched the throne. He also turned around and stated the day is coming soon when Luningning will sit on it and become the king of vampires and werewolves.
Alarick did not change a bit. He's still inexperienced and handsome because all the vampires and werewolves that stand before the blood moon that midnight stop aging after that night, except the budding ones.
"Father? Father? Where are you?" Luningning entered the living room, while Alarick came to meet him there.
"Hey, son, what happened?"
"It's Joseph's father. He almost got hit by a car today at the market, but guess Ligaya doesn't seem to be bothered about it."
[Smiles] "Son, forget about those two. You know how dramatic they are. How about where you go? Did you notice anything suspicious?"
"Not father." Luningning sits down on a sofa.
"What did you mean, son?" Alarick was curious and also sat beside Luningning.
"They're many vampires out there, but none of them is thinking about the throne. I make sure I read all their minds, but something strange is happening. Someone can't perceive them. I felt something is wrong, or maybe they're using something to shake off their smell or what did you think father?" Luningning looks at his father's face.
"Don't worry son, I will find out whatever they're applying to swing off their smell, perhaps I can also use that, and I will be the one going out instead of sending you out." Alarick holds Luningning on his shoulder.
"But Father, I did not complain."
"I know son, but remember, your life needs to be secure, and I should be the one guarding you, not the way around. Once Ligaya gets back from the market, tell her to get me some flowers, remember tomorrow is Ma'am Argata's remembrance."
"Okay, father,"
Alarick and Luningning smiled at each other.

[Car engine stops in a farm field far away from the main city.]
"Jethro, where are they?" John says as he stepped out of the car.
Jethro looks confused. He rushes out of the car and tells John that he knotted them up here.
"Then show me! Where are they?" John became impatient as he paced around.
"I swear, boss, they were right here before I left. I clinched them up." Jethro tries explaining himself by confusing John to believe him.
"Tell me, Jethro, what did you tie them up with? Answer me!" John was furious.
"A rope,"
"What!" John turned around and face Jethro, "A rope? Are you stupid or something? Do we use rope on them?"
"I'm so sorry, boss, that is the only thing I can use because the chain has hurt my hands!" Jethro becomes pitiful with fear taking over him.
"And what about the spray I gave you that will prevent chains or steel from harming you? Where is it, Jethro?!"
[Stuttering in fear] "I----m sor----ry boss, I forgot it at home." Jethro quivering.
"Or maybe you have started back biting me, who knows? Jethro! Are you feeling pitiful for your kin, that you want to disobey me? Don't forget how I found you! I spared your life Jethro, so don't even think of betraying me, Jethro!!!" John shouted.
[Shuddering with fear] "Calm down, I won't do that, and I will never forget how you took care of me. Please believe me. I forget the spray. That is why I used rope to tie them down. [crying]" Boss, please forgive me"
"Okay, Jethro! l will let this slide, but if you ever do anything stupid like this again, I will kill you in replacement of them!"
John said to Jethro, then got into his car. Jethro wanted to enter the car, but John stopped him from entering.
"Boss, how will I get home from here? Please don't punish me like this," Jethro pleaded.
"Don't act funny Jethro, you're a vampire and faster than my car, so speed off, and I must not arrive at home before you."
"Boss, people might see me because it is not yet dark."
"That's none of my business." John drives off the farm while Jethro looks helpless.
He remembered after tying the minor vampires. All of them are males. They beg Jethro to let them go since they did nothing wrong, but Jethro wouldn't listen. He tells them he's doing this for his boss.
Those children said their parents might look for them, and then Jethro's heart gets softened as he loses and frees all of them. Jethro revealed to himself that he played nothing wrong.
He sped up and followed John's car.
*Oceanside*
"Hello, world! I, Ligaya, the most pretty princess, sold all my dresses today. You see, I'm fabulous, right?"
Ligaya was talking to herself and those passing beside her in their neighborhood on her way back home. But she sees Luningning come from the far, she constructs herself.
"Oh my god! Oh my god. My prince charming is coming. Ligaya composes yourself. Hey miss, do I look good?" Ligaya was so happy and tense seeing Luningning moving toward her.
She talks to herself that Luningning is coming toward her with excitement. Luningning saw how she was doing, and he knew that Ligaya was trying to impress him. Luningning grinned as he walked closer.
"Hello, pretty Ligaya?" Luningning beamed at her.
[Inhale, with shock and mouth wide opened] "Oh my god, did you just say pretty Ligaya? Please repeat it."
[Smiles] "I said, '' Hello beautiful Ligaya, or are you not pretty? Because to me, you're stunning."
[Trembling in happiness] "Huh? I'm going to faint now. Just watch it."
"Common Ligaya," Luningning, held her palm. "Can you get me some flowers, please? I will wait for it at home."
Luningning put money in Ligaya's hand, then kissed the rear of her palm, turned to smiles and walked back home.
Ligaya screamed with happiness as she ran home. Joseph was sitting inside the living room eating when Ligaya rushed in joy.
"Haaaaa!" Ligaya shouted as she entered.
Joseph almost threw away his meal as he got up and asked Ligaya what happened to her?
"Ligaya replied. Luningning confessed his feelings for her."
Joseph hissed and went back to his meal.
"Hey, Joseph! Can't you hear me? I answered Luningning blurted out his love for me!"
"Is that why you're shouting like a lunatic?" Joseph looks at Ligaya with a critical eye and continues eating his food.
While Ligaya spanks Joseph on his head for calling her a lunatic.
"Ouch! That's hurt! What for?" Joseph asked Ligaya with a frown face.
"That is for calling me a maniacal! I won't take that from you, idiot!" Ligaya's sweet mood was ruined.
"What? I'm not wrong, okay? Because how would you say Luningning confesses his feelings for you? Did you even look like his type? Common Ligaya stop wishing! Luningning can never be like a clumsy person like you because he looks like someone who has good taste for ladies." Joseph said and continued eating his food.
"I don't know why God made you, my brother! This is painful. I am your sister. You should support me, but you are against me, Joseph. What have I done to you?" Ligaya became emotional as she shouted at Joseph.
"Common Ligaya, we all know that Luningning is handsome. We might live in the same neighborhood, but he's not in your class. Okay, tell me how he confessed his love to you?" Joseph paused eating and asked Ligaya.
"Why asking? Why do you care? Thought you said, " I'm not in his class!" Ligaya replied.
