Eva's Past II

Continuation of Eva Narration**

I was sent to an orphanage in Country Freuna. The weather was always cold there. The in-charge of that orphanage only gave me some leftovers to eat, torn or old dresses to wear but gave me shelter to live in and a bed to sleep in. They were neither cold to me nor warm enough.

Even when my so-called parents were alive I was made an orphan. Maybe the people thought what the child could remember or forget as I grow up but I don't know why I never forget that day when I was abandoned by my own world. Sometimes I wish I could erase my memories.

I stayed there for ten years but later the black suit men came and took me away from there. They brought me to a hellish training camp and tortured me a lot in the name of training. There was never a day where I was not wounded. Only the old man who just died came to look for me and talked. He was a doctor of the camp and it was said that he was a distant relative of the person who ordered for me to be taken away before. It was the first time I met him.

The old man was only the light of my life, he treated me as his own granddaughter. It was because of him I never thought to give up on my life those years. Later he was unwell so I couldn't meet him every day. During our meetings, he taught me about the world, survival, and many more. He always talked about Weery City as it was his birthplace.

I only met that person who brought the disaster to my life, on the day I passed that training after three years. He was said to be the best friend of that dead pregnant woman. But later I knew he was the father of the child of that dead woman.

My aunt's boyfriend was only trying to cover their relationship to protect the mother and child. He was a powerful figure in the country Freuna and part of the underworld. He was getting revenge for her death.

Everything that happened in the past was because of a misunderstanding. Whatever it was didn't matter to me as my life was already hell.

I was admitted as his low-level subordinate to be a slave. So, afterward whatever mission was given to me I had to do those without any complaint. I didn't kill anyone but did a lot of underhand and illegal dealings. I slowly began to hate myself.

I tried to escape. They would always capture me when I tried to run away and tortured me a lot later on. I tried a lot of times but never succeeded so I gave up that thought.

I hated my family for abandoning me. Even when I had a family I lived as an orphan. I was made a slave. How could I like my lowly degraded life?"

I wanted to leave from there so I decided to talk to them about it. People who wanted to leave that place could leave only through hell ( only could die) but surprisingly the last mission of that place was issued for me in exchange for my freedom.

I had to be a test subject for one of their clients who was involved in medical research. The old man tried to convince me not to accept. But I didn't listen to him and accepted. Anyways I was living like a living dead. What will differ from being a test subject or not? If I was alive afterward I could be free from there.

And so was the experiment done. The new test medicine was conducted on me even before it was tested on other living beings. They injected me with a lot of medicine and drew out my blood frequently. The pain during the experiment was unbearable and I wished for death more than my freedom. I didn't get any information regarding that experiment, so don't know what was tested for me.

I was not breathing and responding after the experiment so they declared me dead. The black suit men threw my body on the snowy mountain.

I don't know why they thought I was dead but someone found and rescued me. Maybe the cold helped me to dispel the medicine or what, I gained consciousness after some days. The people who rescued me were the mountaineers. They left me on my own after I woke up.

I walked down the mountain with a hungry stomach for days. One day by chance I helped one of the members of my new teammates during a landslide when I was wandering aimlessly. I was trying to keep myself safe but due to my action, I unknowingly saved him too.

He later took me to meet the others and I became a part of them. I was ordered to go to Wega and act as their spy. I accepted it as I was in need of a place and position to survive. And what could be better than Wega? I wanted to see Weery City as the old man had described to me.

I don't know how they did it but that's how I entered Wega easily, without any obstacles. I was kept under Beta as his subordinate."

"I acted as their spy but had my personal space. I had to focus on Rit and Del movements. Later on, they extended their surveillance on the newcomer Biva. I don't know the details but they tried a lot to assassinate Rit and failed. I did as I was ordered by my higher-ups. I have never met those personally. They would contact me through some secret channel and help with the mission issued by Wega to me.

A year before, when I was returning back from my mission, I was late so had to stay back at Weery City. I roamed the city all night. As the night was ending I reached the private clinic and I saw some familiar people entering there. I wanted to enter but the guards stopped me. I wasn't sure but I thought I saw the old man in a wheelchair entering with a group of people.

When I returned back to Wega I asked my old teammates for the pass to enter the clinic and they asked why I needed it. I had replied saying I had to kill someone who betrayed me before. I hadn't told Beta or my old teammates of my previous experiences and only said my family had kicked me out of the house and I wanna take revenge.

They accepted it in the exchange for being an accomplice in the murder of Rit and sending Biva out from Wega. I was hesitating but before I could do anything someone gave her the toxic poison and my deal became much easier. I could enter the clinic but couldn't meet the old man as he was kept on guard.
