The Mysterious Evolution

"Lord can't question you directly so I will ask it in his stance…The assistant beside you…what's his name? (Trying to think hard) …Zero or should I say Khalid, isn't he the member of Kirin gang?" He smirked.

Was he expecting for me to act fearful, shutter or plead for his mercy? -Of course I won't do any of it. I wasn't even trying to hide his identity otherwise I would have given him a mask.

"Yeah, he was Khalid before but in the present he is my assistant Zero. Is there a problem for me to accept him. Isn't there a rule in Northern Hill that after a leader dies anyone capable can take the dead leader's subordinate under his/her wings? I made sure I followed that rule. Am I wrong?" I acted innocent as a bunny. Khalid has informed me of the rule.

"No- no. It's not wrong. I only thought that maybe you were not taken advantage by anyone." R tried to smile but it didn't reach his eyes.
