'Am dead, Derrick remembered all the unnecessary questions that he was asked by his mother and the bad feeling he felt earlier' Derrick stood up from his chair "could you all excuse me and lady Rosetta for a bit?" he asked while staring at both his parents and Rosetta's parents, who nodded in approval.

Derrick took Rosetta to the courtyard looking a bit depressed and then said "we should tell our parents that this engagement can't work, Lady Rosetta you don't want to get engaged to me do you, we can dissolve it our parents would agree if both of us refused wholeheartedly", The look in Derrick's eyes startled Rosetta a bit, because the few time she knew him, he always had that playful eyes and never took anything serious, she felt a pang at her chest and said "Are you that against getting engaged with me?"

Derrick looked a little confused, why is this girl asking such a stupid question he thought, well someone who haven't been in a relationship before has no idea "Forget about that, let's just tell our parents to dissolve this engagement"...

Derrick looked like a boy who just swallowed an insect, "why would you bring that up now, it was because of the situation I said all those things, are you threatening me now?" Derrick asked in a tone that was lace with anger and with squinted eyes.

Rosetta shook her head playfully and giggled a bit, then came closer to his ear, before whispering to him "I just don't want this engagement to be annulled, you are stuck with me Derrick".. Derrick shivered, after saying that with a smile, she left Derrick in the courtyard and went back to the dining room

Derrick was left alone confused 'is this girl alright, what does she mean am stuck with her, should I propose the annulment of the engagement myself? no that would feel like an insult to the Earl's family, what should I do? well thinking about it won't get me anywhere, I should head back'..

Derrick went back to the dining room, it seems their parents are already through with their meal and left, the meals were replaced because it has gotten cold.

Rosetta was eating calmly, she looked elegant and she didn't seem like she could hurt a fly.. "Derrick!!" Rosetta called.. "Huh? Do you need anything?" Derrick replied.. "We will going back to our territory tomorrow, don't miss me too much"

"Miss you?" Derrick looked at her, they were still maids stationed to watch over them, until they were through with their meals, Derrick held back the urge to reply her and continued his meal 'I won't be stooping down to your level young lady, I will be the bigger man'..

Derrick assured himself forgetting mentally he is a much bigger man, or does he want to forget everything about his past life no one knows.

Rosetta smiled after she was ignored "I will take that as a yes"...

"suit yourself" Derrick said without looking at her, they both ate in silence after that and when they were through, they wanted to go back to their various rooms, but were stopped by the maids that both of them are summoned to the sitting room, where their parents were waiting for them.

Derrick looked glum all of a sudden 'what is it now?' he thought, before glancing at Rosetta who looks confused too, apparently she doesn't know the reason for the summon too 'well let's just see why we have been summoned'.

They both arrived at the sitting room seeing their parents discussing with smiles, gave Derrick a bad premonition, 'what have they discussed again, well nothing could be worse than getting literally engaged, after knowing each other barely two days'..

"Children come sit" Earl Holman said with a smile at both Derrick and Rosetta, who nodded a sat down..

"Well kids we have been discussing what would be the best for the both of you, and it seems that both me and Baron Dark have thesame thought, both of you would be attending the The Saint Falzia Academy, one of the best academy in all of Falzia, when you turn 12, that's in five years time"
