Confrontation 6

"Aren't you forgetting something, as we have given you something, we deserve something in return" Shadow said, not caring about the looks he was receiving.

Everyone who heard him looked at him a bit shocked, Shadow was a bit taken back, but could only shake his head.

"What do you mean you deserve something in return, you stole my goods and killed my men, just because am taking this scroll to cover all loses, you can't just decide to get over yourself, am only taking this loss because of my daughter, you f*****g madman" Valdmir fumed and shouted at Shadow with the ounce of strength he had left, Shadow was looking down on him and that was something he couldn't swallow.

"How dare you?" Valdmir continued watching everywhere, he thought that Shadow's gut grew because there was someone that came to their rescue or there was a way to steal his ring from him, he was being cautious but this only made Shadow looked at him with a mocking grin.

"Do you think you were the only one with treasures, if not for your daughter here, you would have already become a corpse, it's just that your pill will only delay it, but can't stop it, so if you don't want to lose a leg or an arm, drop something equivalent to the magic scroll" Shadow drew out his sword that was already stained by blood, but he didn't care, this was the man responsible for injuring his young master, that he was given to protect.

When Valdmir heard him, there was something that just dawned on him, he felt like he was a fool 'yes if I had treasures to protect my life, in times of danger then, why wouldn't he? he is stronger than me and must value his life more, moreover he brought out a magic scroll like it was nothing' Valdmir thought after assessing the situation, the scale wasn't on his side, he might lose his life if he continued, but he might lose one of his treasures and his pride if he stopped, he felt like he was in dilemma.

He looked at Derrick and Shadow, 'so this man was this kid protector, and seeing how my daughter is behaving she has already fallen for this kid' he sighed after thinking.

"Alright I have made my decision, I am giving the young master here my daughter in exchange for the magic scroll, she is my most priced possession and as such she has greater value than all your treasures" Valdmir said after thinking through everything, all the onlookers opened their mouth agape, this shocked everyone was shocked Shadow, Derrick, Ivy and Ella who was a distance away were all shocked.

'What the fuck is this old man saying' Derrick thought to himself, and even Ivy could only stare at her father grudgingly.

"What the hell are you saying father" Ivy screamed at her father, who felt a bit guilty but his daughter was interested in the kid and they seemed to be age mate, so what was wrong?.

"Forget it, Shadow let's go, we have lost alot of time in this kingdom and the delay has gotten too much" Derrick told Shadow to forget Valdmir, he felt the man has a screw lose somewhere, that he is exchanging his daughter for a magic scroll, he already has enough baggage in Ella and he wasn't ready to add another baggage.

"Kid say yes and take the girl, she is a rare beauty too, and has already developed in some areas, you would enjoy her" Zazel who has been quiet ever since spoke in excitement, which fueled the rage Derrick already had for him.

""""Fuck You"""" he shouted at Zazel absent mindedly, which brought everyone's eyes towards him, before he Shaked his head and said "sorry about that, I just thought of something, Shadow let's go" Derrick said about to leave there and go back to the carriage, but he was held by the wrist by Ivy who said "Please where are you heading to?".

Her eyes was soft, which made Derrick stop a bit, she looked like someone that would collapse if Derrick refused to say, Derrick sighed.

"We are going to Saint Falzia Academy, now can you let me go?" Derrick said, and Ivy let his wrist go abruptly, Derrick left as soon as she let him go and Ella who quickly followed him.

Shadow looked at Valdmir for a bit, before looking at Ivy then went to her before saying "You belong to the Dark's family now, but we would let you go for now" after saying that he left to join Derrick and Ella in the carriage.

"The Dark's? the Baron family at the far end of the kingdom?" Valdmir muttered to himself seeing them leave.
