Ch-20 Arnie Blizzard and Firosa
"Why did you decide to visit Vestalis City, now?"
"I have no idea why master brought me to here, when we could have used this time to go somewhere better than this hybrid city."
Jasper realized from Firosa stance of Vestalis City, that it was considered a weird city by most of the people of the Arcane World because of the heavy influence of Blue World found here and many people even disliked it.
However, this also gave rise to many malpractices which needed to be undetected by the governing body of the Arcane World for its continued existence. This made the Vestalis City a dangerous place compared to any other ordinary city of the Arcane World.
"What about you, why are you here?"
"My reason is similar to yours. Jennifer brought me to here without giving an explanation for her actions."
"Hey, don't you dare think that you and I are anything alike. We are like the sun and moon , two extremes that repel each other."
"Fine, but in that analogy I am the sun and you are the moon since you are smaller than me."
"Stop talking nonsense, moron."
"Hmm, what would it take for you to start believing in me and see me as an equal?"
"I am surprised that you brought up this topic but its fine, I will tell you if you are rearing to know. Anyone who proves to be stronger than me and also treats me with respect must be respected and taken seriously in my eyes."
"Wow, were you raised by a barbarian family to have such a crude thought process."
"You can guess all you want unless that is your next question?" Firosa's calm reaction surprised Jasper when he was expecting her to angry at his jab. Jasper made note of her reaction as unpredictable.
"No, its not my next question."
"Ok, Who was the lady standing beside you?"
"Oh, she is Jennifer my guardian." Jasper believed that he had to lie about his relationship with Jennifer. He didn't see the point of telling the truth to Firosa and believed that hiding his relationship with Jennifer was the right thin to do.
After the ride, Firosa and Jasper parted their separate ways with their guardians, giving awkward goodbyes to each other. Complicated emotions were mixed in their awkwardness.
The Pierce siblings decided to ride another ride on Jasper's request.

Arnie Blizzard was the busiest person of the Dragon Rainbow Academy. His strength, talent and skill were unparalleled in the Academy and he was the most celebrated warrior known far and wide in the Arcane World.
This popularity resulted in him, becoming the face that represented the Dragon Rainbow Academy. He frequently had to go different places of the Arcane World to represent his academy and spread their name. Although, all of this duty was forced onto him, he was indifferent to all of this and simply did what was told to him never complaining and the rewards he received were very generous. So, it was not that bad.
However, the truth for sending Arnie to different places of the Arcane World was for completing his headmaster's job. The lazy headmaster could not be bothered to do these trivial matters so she used Arnie to do her job. It didn't mean he did not have the option to decline but he nonetheless accepted it .
Recently, the headmaster had increased Arnie's workload by assigning him a hot-headed disciple Firosa. Making him a master even although he was in only his fifth year of Academy.
Again, Arnie did not decline this request and became a premature master. Usually the sixth year students needed to successfully teach their disciple before being able to graduate from the Academy but this assignment, if completed successfully would graduate Arnie.
He had been invited by an important figure living in Vestalis City and went to meet him along with Firosa who followed him to enjoy the food and rides of the city. In Vestalis City they met one of his year mates Jennifer and Jasper, her disciple. Arnie was a very cold and indifferent person and cared about only a handful of people.
He remembered Jennifer, because she was the only year mate who continually did well and shined very bright proved by her popularity in the Academy and the Arcane World. He was sure that he would not forget her because she was the only other fifth year student who had managed to become a master like him.
Also, Arnie could tell with a single glance that Jasper was a very capable fighter and was someone worth paying attention to. Who knows he might be surprised by what Jasper accomplishes in the future
After parting ways with Jennifer and Jasper, Firosa started chatting nonstop as usual.
"Master, why did you agree to have a chat with that average boy we met just know??! He is clearly a normal person unworthy of our attention and does not even know how to use magic. You would be wasting your precious time meeting him."
Arnie finally speaks and his voice was just as stone-cold and disinterested," Don't be deceived by Jaspers simple looks and his inability to use magic for now. Later, he is going to learn magic and coupled with his overflowing confidence in himself. dare say that he would have monstrous strength and have the makings of one of the most remarkable fighter ever seen in the Arcane World.
If you two were to fight now, then Jasper would probably win even without any knowledge of magic. That's how high his combat prowess his. His master before Jennifer must have been a nutcase who kept strengthening Jasper. Then, he now has Jennifer as his master. She has world-shaking power acquired by a few people and she would pass down many of her techniques to her disciple. I guess this is something to look forward to in the future."
This was indeed the case, the fight between Jasper and The Masked Person showed that Jasper was weaker in every way possible and was not fit to be a fighter until his current strength changed. But, it was wrong to take The Masked Person as the standard because it was an anomaly who had a lot more strength than his peers.
This is why Jennifer and Norman were astonished and impressed by Jasper, who was able to last five minutes against The Masked Person without even using magic.
Hearing Arnie praise Jasper infuriated Firosa," I don't believe you. We have not had a battle yet so there is no way to be sure who the winner would be and until he defeats me, he can never be considered my equal."
Firosa was infuriated but now did she not underestimate Jasper like before. She had been travelling with her master for a month now and understood that he was an expert when it came to reading people and their capabilities. Her master spoke occasionally but every word that came out of his mouth had a lot of significance.
"His master, Jennifer is one of the Seven Dragons of the Dragon Rainbow Academy which explains her strength to you and Jasper should at the least have the capabilities to reach the Seven Dragons level or even surpass them. If he is not able to then I would be disappointed in him.
This was the first time Firosa had seen Arnie express a desire or emotion and it made her jealous that the cause was not her but Jasper. She vowed to make Jasper pay," Nice, then he should be a good opponent to be crushed beneath my feet."

Jasper had heard during his adventure in the shopping complex about the sunset sight of Vestalis being one of the main attraction. Jennifer agreed to Jasper's wish and they enjoyed the sunset view before leaving the Vestalis City on Parallel Harmony.
Jaspers experience in the Vestalis City was far from comfortable and it was his first time where he experienced a life and death situation, but luckily he was able to come out of it alive. This made the danger bearable and he even wished that he would get to experience the same shock, trill and trepidation in the future.
Unfortunately, Jasper's life was going to become a wreck without getting the chance to rest and making him regret ever wanting to fight.

"What do we do this time, Jennifer. The enemy has been in pursuit for two whole weeks now and does not have any intention to stop. If this keeps continuing then we are surely going to die!!!"
