Ch-59 Utkarsha Vs Jasper

The cold-faced goddess's expression lightened," I never knew men like you also existed. Whatever our lives desire may be, when in a battle both of us wish for the same thing. To win and crush the opponents beneath our feet. Let me give you a taste of how it feels to be broken from the inside."

The unsteady Jasper finally found the right balance and managed to stand up. " Men like me? Of course, they exist. If my personality surprises you, then you should meet my Master, Ren. I gained it from him who's an even bigger battle mongrel. His soul wouldn't give up fighting even if it was torn from his body. Such is his desire to battle others and win."

Utkarsha seemed interested in the man Jasper described,"I would like to meet your Master sometime and tell him how pathetically his disciple lost me. "

Jasper was deeply affected by Utkarsha's words. Rage bubbled inside him, as she hit where it hurt the most. For him, his Master was special and he didn't want him to know about the shameful parts of him. He had to make sure that she and Ren never met.

"Don't be so full of yourself. You will be the one ashamed to be alive when you lose to me I will make sure of it."

Jasper once again rushed forward, the same as the previous move in Front Rush Plunge. Everyone watching the battle expected the same moves, however instead of plunging he showcased the variety of skills in his disposal to almost cut down Utkarsha.

Utkarsha was also tricked into believing it to be the same move, however as she observed Jasper closely she realized the difference in footwork, his stance and the way he shifted his body weight. By the time she came to this realization, Jasper's sword was touching her bare skin.

Jasper was sure about landing a strike, but the next moment something unbelievable occurred. Utkarsha bent her wait at such an angle that her hands were touching the ground and all his attack accomplished was cutting through the air.

Her reaction time and flexibility were something Jasper had neither seen in his life nor could he have expected it. He wouldn't believe it even if someone told him, but witnessing it first-hand made him accept the reality.

Jasper may have been surprised but he had fought enough battles for it to not distract him. He used the Dancer Ren Style Swordsmanship to contain Utkarsha's movement, as she was forced to use her Flexible Physique to dodge each of his attacks. Getting hit by even 1 of them would increase the possibility of her losing.

The battle continued in a similar manner and it started looking like Jasper had an advantage over Utkarsha. He had already unleashed 2 of his Mountain Cleave which she was forced to resist otherwise it would cut through her body.

Although the battle seemed to be in his favour, he would lose once he lost all of his strength. He could attempt one more or two more, by pushing his Internal Ki energy and Body reserves to the limit. On the other hand, he had no knowledge of Utkarsha's limit but just from the way Arjun introduced it, one could decipher her area of expertise to be in physical combat which required strength, stamina and movement.

She was bound to be better than him in all these qualities and would still be standing as he fell down. He lost his advantage when Utkarsha used the Ground Destabilizing Move that made him lose balance and give her a chance to deal destructive blows throughout his body. He was only able to fend her off when he surprised her with his last Mountain Cleave, making her gain some distance from him.

"Give up the fight, boy. We may have the same attitude of enjoying the thrill of battle but you are well past the condition to fight."

"Since you know the feeling then you already know my response. "

"But still, it doesn't mean we have to always follow the impulse. Sometimes giving up is also alright."

" I am not a loser and I am not going to give up. "

Utkarsha was speaking the truth about his fighting condition. With all the Mountain Cleave moves used his Internal Ki Energ reserves were finished and he was barely able to remain standing after the beating his body had gone through, but all hope was not lost. During the battle, he noticed that she was trying her best to dodge every one of his he dealt with his sword attacks. The same response was not observed when he attacked with a kick or fist. There was something fishy going on but he couldn't put his finger on it. Not giving up and finding the answer may very well lead to his victory.

Based on these findings he thought of using a move he rarely used but in this situation, it might prove to be quite effective.

Utkarsha continued to attack with her kicks and fists planning to wear Jasper down until he either fell unconscious or gave up. With him having lost all of his strength she was not expecting any resistance but she was shocked when her attacks were blocked by a sword move.

Jasper who had used his sword only for attacking throughout the battle now used it to block attacks. Surprisingly, the damage of her attacks was also being negated making her frustrated.

A combination of Fool's Defense and Shocker Lapse allowed Jasper to dodge Utkarsha's domineering attacks. He had lost his Internal Ki Energy but he still had some physical strength left which was used to perform these two techniques.

Utkarsha didn't believe Jasper's blocking would last much longer and continued with her attacks. She slipped up here as she received many attacks from the Blunt Sword. The effect was much lower than when Jasper attacked with Internal Ki Energy but it did have an effect.

Unfortunately, before Jasper could have dealt enough blows to bring down Utkarsha's defence, she used a move he had no answer for. With unpredictable Maddening Strength she unleased her sword and striked Jasper.

He was already in the weakest possible state and this was like putting his grave in a coffin as he couldn't continue fighting and fell on Utkarsha's shoulder.
