" I choose..."
"Utkarsha, the goddess who possesses ' immense physical strength'. "
Suman couldn't hide his surprise," Her, seriously? What do you see in someone as boring as her?"
Anmol, the glaring man with partial black and white hair and a Chinese sword sighed as he envisioned the future result of their battle.
Arjun's expression turned into curiousness," Why did you choose her?"
"I am not entitled to tell the reason, am I?"
" No, you are not. However, there is no use hiding it from me. Everything I want to know is going to be revealed in the battle. That's the kind of opponent you have chosen. Good Luck, winning kid "
The 6 of them were formidable opponents and accomplished fighters, Jasper could tell based on the way they carried themselves and the aura emanating from them.
' I can't describe it perfectly nor do I know if a term exists for it, but recently I am able to see a person in a different light. It's a kind of energy that sticks to one and has a personality of some sort. It's some type of ability I have gained which allows me to peer into the personality of a person.
The 6 experienced officers have different types of energies associated with them.
Utkarsha, the goddess possessing a fit and sexy body was like the sky. She could bring judgement with the power of destroying or bring sunshine with the power of saving.
The other's energies had unique qualities which told him about their formidable strengths. It was enough for him to decipher his chance of winning against them. There was at least a small chance for his victory against Utkarsha.
Jasper's new ability gave him the right information. He was introduced to Magic recently and still had no understanding of it. But if it was a battle of pure physical abilities, he had the ability to win. Being one of the strongest Martial Artists in Blue World was proof of his physical poweress which didn't lose to the powerhouses of Blue World.
Utkarsha seemed to be uninterested in the trio as she kept a cold face staring at her sword. However, she did react upon Jasper choosing her as his opponent.
" I am against fighting children and helpless people. But if it is what you wish for, then I can crush you under your feeble confidence. "
Jasper could see from his newly gained ability he dubbed ' Aura Preception', that Utkarsha's energy had become even more fierce than before. As if the challenge of battle had released some more emotions and feelings. To the other, it was impossible to know what was going through her head but he was not clueless.
"You can try, but it sure as hell won't be easy. Who knows, you may be the one grovelling beneath my feet."
Utkarsha didn't reply maintaining silence to his attempt of agitation. Jasper realized the opponent he faced was not going to lose her calm easily.
Jasper knew the first move of the battle was important. It was the first direct communication they had with their lives on the line. Messing it up, meant always being one step slower.
The Front Rush Plunge, a move Jasper mastered after using it on innumerable opponents, was his go-to at the start of the battle. He rushed at Utkarsha with an insane speed, Rhea and Rihan could barely follow before slashing with it.
The attack was sudden and all Utkarsha do was block the attack. It came with a lot of momentum which along with the Blunt Sword's ability to cut through anything packed a lot of power. However, she blocked the attack with a single palm.
The aftershocks of the power made the surroundings vibrate which was clearly felt by everyone. The Blunt Sword's ability lasted till the moment survived before dying off.
Captain and Arjun looked at the surprise on each other's faces. The power behind Front Rush Plunge was nothing to scoff at. It was not something they could receive lightly even at their level of strength.
Jasper was shocked by the ease with which Utkarsha blocked the attack, but he was sure it had affected her thinking.
"Not so strong are you now?" he spoke with smugness in his speech. The next turn of events made him eat his words.
Utkarsha kicked out at Jasper who was close quarters to her, the kick to the stomach had him rolling on the floor as he clutched his stomach and clenched his teeth to bear the pain. He felt like all his innards were going to pop out of his mouth. he even coughed out a mouthful of blood due to internal bleeding.
The aftershocks of this kick were scarier than Jasper's attack with the Training Rooms' floor forming a small crater below Utkarsha, unable to contain the strength of her kicks.
The Siblings were shocked out of their wits but no one else seemed surprised at this outcome. After all, they had all seen her in action.
It was Utkarsha's turn to be surprised as she never expected Jasper to remain conscious. It was one of her most powerful attacks with close to 100% of her strength. To not lose his consciousness was a very impressive feat.
Jasper resisted the attack only because he used up half of his Internal Ki Energy to negate Utkarsha's attack. Half of his strength was not enough, his body had to also bear a lot of damage. He was sent into a weakened state right after the start of the battle. At most he could use 3 Mountain Cleave before he lost all of his strength.
He got up unsteadily taking the support of the Blunt Sword," A single attack is never going to be enough to put me down. I don't know the word give up, so show me your real strength otherwise you will be the one to fall."
The cold face goddess's expression lightened," I never knew men like you also existed. Whatever our lives desire may be, when in a battle both of us wish for the same thing. To win and crush the opponents beneath our feet. Let me give you a taste of how it feels to be broken from the inside."
