"It's easy to tell you're just pretending to date, thanks to Blair's lack of experience in that kind of stuff, but I don't think you're only acting," Blake said with a knowing smile, and Cadmus flushed as if caught doing something indecent. 

He exhaled. "Listen, I don't mean to intimidate you. You and Blair can hold up to each other. That's one thing I'm sure of. I do care about both of you, and it's not just because you used to be friends with Blair, but it's also because I've known you since you're still a child. You're not a bad person."

Good ole Blake coming in with a therapy session. Cadmus thought he would make a good psychiatrist.

"Well, thanks, Uncle."

The word slipped out before Cadmus could stop it, and he internally winced. Blake did not seem to mind, though, giving him the impression that this was not the first time he had been called that.
