Regrets

'Is that weird to admit?' Blair wondered, a little bit embarrassed by letting the words slip.

But then, Cadmus replied, "Me too, Blair."

He tilted his head to the side, and it seemed as if he was trying to catch her eyes. Feeling her cheeks heat up, she laughed, unsure of the reason for her giggles but was happy all the same.

There were at least ten more minutes before they had to go home.

Blair found herself wishing they had more time to spend together. She had missed Cadmus more than she thought she ever would.

And from the looks of it, he had missed her as well.

"Hey," Blair said after a moment, stopping under a streetlamp that illuminated her skin in a faint orange glow. Cadmus must have noticed her sudden change in mood, his voice soft and curious as he asked, "What's wrong?"
