"I'm not overthinking," Cadmus said, reaching out to grab Blair's hand.

"Liar," she accused, though her tone was playful. She swung their hands, squeezing his palm gently. "I'm glad we're here now."

"I'm glad you're glad."

"Is His Majesty finally tripping over his own words?" 

Cadmus rolled his eyes at Blair and huffed in disapproval when she sent him a cheeky grin. It was then that the frog Jamir and Irvin found soared through the air somewhere in the distance.

"And that's my cue to leave."

"Be careful," he warned, grinning. "Those guys know how to aim those things."

"Let's not frog-get my athletic skills," she remarked, then cringed at her own pun. "Whatever." She turned and headed off, gathering another frog to hurdle through the air.

"She's really something, isn't she?"

Cadmus glanced to the side and found Halstead walking up to him. "Yeah, she is."
