Beast

“Natasha…”

“Natasha…” I listened to a recognizable tone of voice calling my name. I look around the site, searching where it came from.

“N-nathan?” I know it’s him, but I can’t find him anywhere. The range has a perpetual circle of obscurity. I don’t think if I am inside a room with a small space or in a vast pit below, that I simply can’t run-up to the surface because it pulls you underneath endlessly.

“Nathan, where are you?!” I’m starting to get worried and anxious. I can feel his presence. I tried getting a handle on something. Looking for an object to hold at but I landed on the floor with my face. I let out a moan of torment.

My heart beat fast, and I didn't know what to do. My head pirouettes each time I look around. I tried to move forward, but somebody seemed to be pulling me back to where I was before so that I couldn't move in my spot.

“Natasha.”

My eyes dilated when I felt him behind me. I turned around, and our eyes met. There's no question he had enthralling eyes the kind you'd get misplaced. It had everything my encapsulation hunted for. My heart dashed, as in case it had run for an hour, and my muscles strained.

“I miss you, dear.” the way his lips move and curve each time he says a word, my entire being genuflecting for him. I feel like he cast a spell on me since I wouldn’t be this awed each time I see him. Not because of his prepossessing look.

But because of who he is as a person. He spread his arms, signaling me to embrace him. I didn’t squander any more seconds as I ran up to him. However, each time my feet took a step forward, he was pushed on the far side of the room, away from my presence.

“What’s wrong? Why aren’t you running to me?” he asked.

“Nathan, I’m trying!” I shouted in wretchedness as I attempted to reach up to his arms, but each time I had the chance, something was pushing us to be away from each other.

“Maybe, you’re not the one for me.”

He slowly walked away, leaving me crumpled on the floor like a thrown piece of paper after being used. I shook my head as I bit my lip from keeping my emotions overflown. I ran up to him, reaching him, but something caught my ankle. I looked down and saw a sharp claw cut deep in my flesh. I hollered for help when blood rushed down to my foot.

No one helped me as I was dragged away, whereas I’m clinging for my dear life. I looked at Nathan one last time. His eyes are hooded, and no emotions latched as he watched me getting dragged deep down the black hole that’s eating my lower body. I closed my eyes, my heart throbbing under trepidation. I’m going to die.

“Wake up.”

I felt a sprinkle of cold water slap me on my face, constraining me to sit up straight and gasp for air. I hold onto my neck while breathing intensely. It was a dream. I thought it was real. I sighed in relief, but my muscles tensed when I felt someone gazing at me.

I gulped apprehensively, and my hands trembled when I saw who was sitting on the chair right before me. The place looks old, corroded, and deserted. My lips parted, and I froze in my spot when our eyes met. An electric wave of shock runs down my spine when I gape at him. His thighs are slightly spread apart, his elbows are resting on the armrest, and his head is tilted imperceptibly, watching me closely.

It’s him. The man who can change into a werewolf. I thought he slaughtered me, but I figure he just brought me into his dungeon.

“W-who are you?” I managed to break the silence between us since he was not talking as he just kept looking at me, marking at every angle of my face.

He didn’t answer me as he just continuously stood up and walked up to me. I gradually looked up when he became taller with each step. When he stopped, he slowly looked down. I can feel the substantial atmosphere around him. He doesn’t talk much, not at all like the Nathan I know.

“Who’s Nathan to you?” his deep, hoarse, enticing voice reverberated in my ears. The hair on the back of my neck rose when I heard his voice. I felt a slight tingling on my stomach.

“A-aren’t you Nathan?” I stupidly asked. He snorted, not impressed.

“You ask me who I am. I asked who Nathan is. You replied, am I Nathan? '' You're missing something.” he touched my forehead with his thumb, and he slowly ran it down to my lips. I was apprehensive and panicking inside when he showed me his teeth, and his eyes gleamed.

"P-please…" I manage to say this while my tears start to stroll down my cheeks. I know I look wretched and miserable. I know he wouldn't let go of me.

“What did you do to Nathan? Where is he?”

He watched me suffer before him. His eyes trace my tears. He touched my eyes with his fingertips, letting the tears damp his flesh, then he brought it up to his lips, licking the bittersweet taste.

“Natasha, right?” he asked, and I gestured my head. I don’t know why I’m not shouting or angry at him at this point. But something is telling me it’s not a good idea to wreak havoc on him.

He stood up straight, towering over me. His eyes shined hazily. I nearly shouted in stunned silence when he kicked down the table next to me. The object above it crashed and is now scattered on the floor.

He hysterically laughs as if he discovers something so entertaining about me. He touched my hair and put a few strands behind my ears as he didn’t break eye contact with me.

“He’s dead! I killed him!”

As if a gun had shot me, and it punctured right through my heart that’s as of now been beat up because of the emotional damage this past few weeks. I shook my head, not able to say anything as my soul deserted me, unfathomable to what he said.

“That’s not true…” my lips shaped into an uncontrollable sob. He looked delighted when he saw my tears once more. He leveled his face on mine, and he licked off my tears with his long tongue. His mouth watered, and his eyes were gleaming. He’s a maniac. A monster!

“Oh yes, it’s a true sweetheart. It’s so true…” he moaned with so much ecstasy as he looked up and let out a low howl. I needed to pry away from him, but he caged me between his arms. He’s crazy!

“Because my twin and my parents are gone, I am now free from them! I can do anything I want.”

He silenced himself, realizing something. His eyes are looking anywhere but me. He abruptly stood up straight and touched his lips with his thumb, caressing it delicately, whereas his fangs are shown. He looked at me, then his lips curved into an irresistible grin.

“Let me introduce myself to you.” he formally said, then he sat in front of me. He spread his legs apart, and he rested his elbows on his knee, checking me out. I gulp quietly as my heart is beating insanely.

“I’m Ethan Ajax Davis, twin brother of the guy you’re yelling in your dreams. If you’re searching for him, sorry honey, he’s dead alongside my parents. Their corpse is nowhere to be found. It’s just you and me together in this small room.”

My body trembled so bad I couldn’t move a muscle. His tantalizing eyes reflect in mine. The contrast is I can see myself grieving for the loss of Nathan. He is enjoying my suffering. No wonder they look so alike. But he’s nothing compared to Nathan. I balled my hands, limiting my outrage since I know it’s a loathsome thought to go havoc on him. He’s a maniac, a half-wolf.

He’s a serial killer.

“Please, let go of me. I won’t tell a single soul about you. Just set me free.” I pleaded with him.

“Hmm…that’s a good idea.” he nodded his head, taking notes in his thoughts.

“Except I’m not inept enough to let you wander around free when there’s a high chance you’ll go to the police and tell the reporters you saw a half-wolf who just got out from the Asylum since he murdered everybody there!”

His voice reverberated in each corner of the room, making me shrivel in my spot. My tears fall rapidly, and my chest is hustling fiercely. I tried to calm myself, but it was no use. I’m hyperventilating. I’m caged into the palms of this man who any minute can slaughter me and drop my body into the stream. I closed my eyes. All of my life, I just wanted to feel the love. That’s why I didn’t give up on Nathan, considering he’s the one for me as I gave to him what I have been protecting and holding for the past years of my existence.

But now, it’s all gone. My dream, objectives, and desire to have a great life smashed down and repeatedly stomped on the ground.

“Please,” I got up and slowly kneeled on the ground. I clasp my palm together. I know it’s no use. I know it’s impossible, but I have to give this a shot.

“I’m begging you, spare my life. I will do anything for you, just let me live the life I wanted.”

Silence prevails as each second that turns into a minute makes my chest go insane. I heard him fake cough as if he’s done deciding for me on cue.

“Very well.”

I slowly looked up to him, and I nearly broke my neck because of how tremendous he was. I ought to get up from the ground, but he pushed my bear, remaining on my spot. He walks around, circling me, observing me underneath his hunting look. He halted behind me, and I heard him sitting down on the bed where I was before.

“I have been in the Asylum for two decades. Imagine the only one I can talk to is myself.”

He played with my hair and I felt an electric shock run through my veins. I felt his lips lowered unto my ear.

“But now you’re here, make sure you’ll agree with my terms. If not, I can snap your neck in half.”

I nodded absentmindedly, not thinking straight anymore. He let out a sexy chuckle on my ears before choking me from behind.

“I want you to strip, right now. You’re going to be my slave.”
