"So it purposely focuses the heat to break the two constructs from the same side to free itself… It's more intelligent than I thought it would be…" Blake muttered out loud.

Then several moments later, Vera came walking leisurely before asking,

"You're not gonna chase it, Blake?"

"No… I don't know why, but I feel there's something with the variant type demon. The look in its eyes is different from the look of any other demonic beasts and humanoid demons that I've fought so far."

"Oh? Why is that?" Vera asked, genuinely curious.

"I don't really know… But there's this look of… affection? No… It was more like it had found something that it had been looking for for a long time…"

"Or at least that's how I would describe it if I have ever seen such a look."

Hearing Blake's answer, Vera only nodded her head in silence before shaking her head and muttering, "Well, variants are unpredictable so we could never know what they were thinking."
