Diagon Alley

After 3 days of waiting, I was back at the CSB to check the money, ID, and passport. When I arrived, I was delighted that everything was ready.

I transfer about 500.000 pounds anonymously to the orphanage, withdraw 100.000 pounds and collect them into my backpack. After that, I move 100 million pounds from my personal account to my investment account. I request my investment manager to invest my money in the companies I wish to invest in.

I also bought about 50 million pounds worth of bullion gold and 5 millions pound worth of silver just in case. It is a good thing that Credit Suisse actually issues bullion golds. The price of gold per kg in 1985 was about 10.500 USD, while silver was 170 USD. So with the amount I bought (about 63 million USD worth of gold and 6.3 million USD worth of silver), I should get 6014 kgs (6.014 tons) of gold and 37.144 kgs (37.14 tons) of silver. I bought blocks of 5kgs and 10kgs for easy transport.

By using confoundus, I could hush my gold and silver orders. I also make it so that he doesn't think about it or give any info to others. In his mind, it would be that some snotty person is trying to flex by buying loads of gold.

After waiting for an hour to finish everything, including signing some legal documents, I'm off to the Diagon Alley.

I'm very excited to finally see the Diagon Alley. But thankfully, I can keep a cool head about it. I don't want to seem too giddy.

Entering the infamous pub, I see there are many people inside. So, the pub is rowdy and full. Various people are here, men and women wearing dark color robes. There are some children as well with their parents. Tom, the barkeeper, looks busy tending the patrons. So, I just move inside and walk to the backdoor.

Thankfully, there is a family that's going to Diagon Alley. So I just tag along and walk some distance behind them.

When I enter the alley, I feel like it's surreal. Diagon Alley looks like in the movies but with a wider road. The road is made of cobblestones that look sturdy. There are various shops here, most notably the Olivanders, Eyleop Owl, Flourish and Botts, Florean Frotuscue Ice Cream, and the Apothecary.

At the end of the road, there is Gringotts. It is a white building that is skewed to the right side. Basically, it looks like what the movie shows. Compared to other shops in the Diagon Alley, Gringotts building looks very shiny.

Now, here goes nothing!
