Everyone was frozen in their spot when the new Soul Beast's Kou immerged from the Nivi's stomach. The shock made the trainees fear for their lives.

"AHHH!" they screamed in fear and started running as fast as they could, gathering the Soul Beast's attention.

Shun and Mei stayed behind to fight the Soul Beast to protect the trainees from being taken away.

"Everyone keep distance," Shun yelled when he saw the Kou's ears twitching to detect any vessel wielder. His heartbeat was getting faster from the adrenaline rush. He didn't know how he would fight the Soul Beast Kou alone without Yami with him, then he needed to protect Mei simultaneously.

The Soul Beast roared loudly before it jumped in the air and landed behind the group of trainees. Its huge hand took the last trainee behind without struggle.
