"We stick to our words. Do you want this country to perish because you won't let us have that girl?" Nicolo stated, tilted his head to the side, and looked at Mei.

"Ah, you're so selfish if you exchanged one life for a million," Ravenna added and licked her fingers while looking at Shun.

"Shun..." Mei muttered and looked up. She thought about what Ravenna had stated and didn't want any harm to the innocents because of her.

"Why do you want her?" Shun asked. He became conflicted about what they said but didn't trust them.

"Well, you see. That girl seems to have a vast amount of mana, and she alone could support our fundamental needs, rather than picking up weakling," Nicolo explained softly.
