For the next two days, the Defender base workers cleaned the forbidden area. The dead Soul beast's body, especially its metal parts, was made into weapons and other items for the base since they were sturdy and contained a bit of mana.

At that time frame, the citizens' voices started growing when the reports of the abducted Combatants and trainees were reported. The parents of the victims wanted justice for their children and relatives. The citizens sympathized with them and blamed the Defender base for their lack of preparation, which led to a massive amount of abduction.

Shun and Mei kept visiting Yami in case he would wake up from a coma. Each day of waiting was torture, and the fear that Yami wouldn't wake up worried them.

"What if Yami won't wake up?" Mei muttered while fixing the other Combatants' flowers when they visited Yami.
