Guillotine

Alessio was standing in the pouring crowd in the heart of London. People who were under Richard's prevailing crimes, who were suffering for no such reason were more than happy when justice was seen to be served in front of their own eyes. Royal Guards were dragging Richard to the platform where he never thought even in his worst nightmares to be, the people in front of which he was to get honoured as the King's most trusted member. He was being insulted by the charge of the vile crime.

The new King sure set a new example for the coming traitors. Richard was being dragged to a platform which was raised enough in front of the gates of Birmingham Palace so the people could see the justice clearly and evidently. The officials of the Royal Court and Royal Palace were all there to witness this Punishment with their souls shivering from inside by seeing the end of Richard Ross a corrupt, vile, criminal traitor.

The new King came with full protocol and a lavish welcome by the Royal officers. All the people who were hooting became silent after seeing their king the first time, what could be seen as a young eighteen year King who was wearing luxurious attire, a handsome and wise King. Who understood his responsibility well and don't hide behind the cloak. A King who rose against his enemies and Mother's evil plot.

King ordered his guards to bring Richard and punish him with Guillotine. Richard was brought there and with his hands tied his head was made placed on the Guillotine.

"Please spare me, your grace! Please spare me!" Richard said while begging for his life, he had forgotten that being a metal he has to die. He lived an entire life full of greed and criminal activities even when he had the chance to close his business he expanded it even more. Even when he had a choice to repent and help Samuel he chose to betray him for more money.

"Showing mercy on the cruel is a punishment for innocents." The King said in an enraged tone and signalled the guard to operate Guillotine.

"Yes, your grace!" The guard said and came forward.

"No! No! No!" These were Richard's last words as the Guillotine worked and the sharp blade beheaded him. The splats of blood were everywhere on that platform and his head was lying there lifeless.

"My people! As your King, I pledge to protect the innocent and punish the evildoers. For to this day till my last, I will not spare anyone guilty of any crime. No matter how strong and influential the background is Justice is the same for all. This day will terrorise the mind of one in power and will prevent him to misuse it. From this day, no innocent will be harmed and the Royal Court and the King both will be here to serve you." King said in his loud, evident and strong-headed tone. People rejoiced and cherished their new King. Some said,

"Finally our sufferings are over! The King is Just."

"Now no child will be killed under an Official's carriage!"

"For once Guillotine is rightly used for the purpose it was made!"

"I'm glad the people here will finally live a better life," Alessio said and went to a bakery to buy some food for his travel.

"All the prices are reduced and one without money can have bread for free. " The baker said generously.

"People have rejoiced finally," Alessio said while waiting for his order.

"After, the unjust rule of the covetous Queen our King has finally arrived this is a moment of relief, young man." The baker said while putting the bread in the bag.

"Indeed it is," Alessio said and a charming smile came on his face.

"The Queen has been sent to Edinburgh permanently as a punishment for her injustice, I have heard. Well her acts made her be exiled, she went to every extent to keep the power in her own hands. She killed the former King, her husband and made her son, the future king go away from the Kingdom. The corruption was at the roots which are finally being plucked by the new King." An old man sitting in the shop said.

"Well, maybe late but Justice is served," Alessio said in a hopeful tone.

"The King's marriage is soon to be held and the preparations are being done to welcome our new Queen, King's wife." The baker said.

"Good to know." Alessio smiled.

"Have a good day gentleman." The baker said happily while giving Alessio the food.

"Good day to you too sir." With that Alessio went by the street and was going in the carriage which was waiting there for him.

A sweet voice came from behind, when Alessio turned back his golden hair flew in the air, his ocean blue eyes were searching where the voice came from, his jaw relaxed and a little shy smile came on his face. When he saw Ella, she came walking towards her elegantly. Her curly hair was flying in the air, her sweet cherry blossom smell filled the place, her eyes were round and she had long lashes just like Rosanne, she had pink roses and some books in her hand, she was wearing a beautiful white silk dress with cherry blossom on it. She had fair colour and she was wearing crystal blue shoes.

She came towards Alessio but accidentally tripped over and bumped into Alessio making her books fall. It seemed that the time has stopped for both, that moment was of a few seconds then Ella bent and picked up her stuff, Alessio also bent down to pick up the books with her and noticed something.

"I am so sorry," Ella said in her cute and worried voice.

"No need to," Alessio replied kindly while collecting her books for her.

"Thank you." She said sweetly and the corners of her lips turned up.

"La Divina Comedia? An Italian book?" Alessio said while his eyebrow raised pleasantly.

"Uh, yes my parents were from Italy I lived there too until I was eight and then I shifted here to my aunt's house after their death in a tragic accident." As Ella described a tear went down get cheek, and Alessio gave her a napkin like a gentleman.

"Come ti vidi m'innamorai, e'tu sorridi perché lo sai," Alessio said while looking into her eyes.

"Perhaps you like poetry." She said and stood up while tucking her hair behind her ear. Alessio also stood up and handed her the book.

"Grazie Signor." She said while being flustered, her face flushing.

"il vostro benvenuto mia signora," Alessio said being like a gentleman.

"Where were you going?" Ella asked in a delicate voice seeing Alessio's saddle bag.

"Taormina, Sicily," Alessio replied.

"I will visit there next summer. Have a safe journey!" She said while going to him a brown envelope sealed with a flower between the wax.

"What is this?" Alessio said while taking the envelope.

"It will keep you company on your trip." She said and smiled at him, he stood there confused and she blended in with the crowd. Alessio went in the carriage and the journey started where he quickly opened the envelope. When he opened an onion-skinned, brown, flimsy paper inside it was beautifully written,

"Io non-ho bisogno di denaro.

Ho bisogno di sentimenti.

Di parole, di parole scelte sapientemente,

di fiori, detti pensieri,

di rose, dette presenze,

di sogni, che abitino gli alberi,

di canzoni che faccian danzar le statue,

di stelle che mormorino all'orecchio degli amanti…

Ho bisogno di poesia,

questa magia che brucia le pesantezza delle parole,

che risveglia le emozioni e dà colori nuovi."

"(I do not need money.

I need feelings.

Of words, of wisely chosen words,

of flowers, called thoughts,

of roses, called presences,

of dreams, which inhabit the trees,

of songs that make the statues dance,

of stars that murmur in the ears of lovers ...

I need poetry,

this magic that burns the heaviness of words,

which awakens emotions and gives new colours.)"

"It was sure a beautiful journey here," Alessio said as he was stunned by the poetry that was written by Ella. The poem filled his heart like magic, he felt so nice. Butterflies flew in his stomach, and Alessio was still figuring out this new change.

[ Edward and Eliza in a Sicilian Cafe]

"It's been a long time isn't it," Eliza said in a despairing tone.

"What for?" Edward asked curiously.

"Since all of us, four have been together." She sighed hopelessly.

"Hmm, true life has been so complexed and busy now," Edward exclaimed.

"I remember how we were preparing enthusiastically for Rosanne and Brother Samuel's wedding. His mother was fine too, Brother Francisco was also doing good. You all were the distinctive lawyers in the entire country, everything was about to be beautiful when all this happened." Eliza said in a saddened tone.

"It felt like we were in a sand castle which was ruined by just one wave," Edward said in an extremely serious, angered and sad tone.

"Ahh! I pray that everything gets good again." Eliza said in a hopeful voice.

"True," Edward said while sipping his coffee.

"Hey! who is that?" Eliza said while pointing out.

"Who?" Edward realised a man behind their table was talking about something suspicious.

"Well, Lorenzo has played his card and now it's our turn." The man said in a cunning voice,

"Don't worry the throne will be ours." The man said and went outside the shop, both Edward and Eliza also paid the bill and got out of the cafe. They spotted the man and started following him, through narrow streets, in a bustling crowd along a very quiet alley. They were at a safe distance when the man turned behind they quickly hid. The man then continued his journey and stopped at Edmondson's mansion. When the man turned behind it was none other than Edmondson Brown.

"What? Edmondson?" Edward said in a shocked voice.

"How can he do this?" Eliza said while her eyes widened in shock.

"Well judging from the past he can do this," Edward admitted.

"But we are not the old selves, now we know his plan and will tell it to Brother Samuel," Eliza said in an amusingly serious way.

"Oh! What would I do without you?" Edward said while looking at his soon-to-be wife with loving eyes.

"Stop it now," Eliza said while getting shy with Edward's comments.

They both sat in Edward's Victoria Benz and went to Romeo's mansion. They both rushed after hanging their coats on the coat hanger to tell what they just saw to Samuel(Romeo). Edward opened the door dramatically and Eliza went inside, Samuel was shocked seeing both of them as he didn't expect them at this time and also panting so hard.

"What happened are you both okay? Take a seat." Samuel asked while being very worried by seeing both of them.

"Yes, I am, okay," Edward replied while sitting and both he and Eliza were panting.

"Galio!" Samuel called.

"Yes sir?" Galio rushed inside and asked after hearing Samuel's worried voice.

"Get two glasses of water for them," Samuel asked him politely.

"Yes sir." Galio nodded and brought the water to them, they both drank it all at once. Galio took the glasses and left the room.

"Thank you," Edward said while his breathing was getting back to normal.

"Now tell me what happened?" Samuel asked in a lowered tone.

"I and Eliza were at a cafe where we noticed a man saying that he is ready to take over the throne, we got curious so we decided to follow him and that man was- " Edward exclaimed.

"That man was?" Samuel's eyebrow raised, his eyes widened and his tone became deep as he feared to know who he thinks he was and whether his guess was correct.

"Edmondson Brown," Eliza said in a serious tone

"I knew there would be something going on in his manipulative mind," Samuel said in a lowered tone and shut his eyes in anger.

"I am certain that he has a solid plan to become the new Mafia King," Edward said in an angered tone.

"This man is unbelievable, how far can his greed take him?" Samuel said in a hopeless tone.

"He has no limits," Eliza said in an infuriated voice.

"We know how to get people in limits, Edward I need to know his entire plan," Samuel asked Edward politely.

" I will ask for it instantly." Edward nodded.

"Good," Samuel said and swiped his face in anger, one thought only came to his mind,

"What are you up to now Edmondson?"
