The power of the berserker

Eider emerged from the darkness of the place. "I was waiting for you, brother," he said with a cold, blank look. It was like he stared without really looking. He was wearing the same armor that he wore when he attacked them on the high seas and kidnapped Alya.

Igneous clenched his fists and tried to remain calm. He still believed that there was a chance to convince Eider, to bring him back without violence, without anyone getting hurt.

"Eider, bro," Igneous spoke, "what is happening to you? Why are you doing this?"

Eider looked up and then looked at his brother. "Do you remember what you told me years ago? That afternoon when I let go of the thief who tried to take our bread and cans of tuna."

"Bro…"

"You told me I had to get stronger," Eider spread his arms wide and threads of black mist swirled around him. "That was exactly what I did."

"Eider... I don't want to fight."

"Shame. Because that is exactly what we'll do."
