Chapter 15: The Blacksmith

The men radiated pure bloodlust as he faced us. Lulu and I prepared to fight, but my mind suddenly calmed. I thought rationally. No, rather, I thought like Elaine. I grabbed Lulu's shoulder, shook my head for her to stop, and glanced down at Elaine's body.

"Get up!" I yelled.

"What gave it away?" Elaine said, standing up, annoyed.

"Sorry, Miss Elaine," the man said, his voice softer than Lulu and not matching his aura at all. "I told you I can't be menacing like you said."

"Oh, Hadi, you did fine! These two are just not normal."

"We're not normal?" I shouted. "Who pretends to be killed? What if I didn't notice?"

"Then you'd fight Hadi, and he'd know the best weapons for two. But I guess that's ruined now. Hadi, any ideas?"

"Yes, Miss Elaine. This one is an open book, so I know the best weapon for him," he said, surprisingly pointing at me instead of Lulu. "Please come with me, young men. Young Lady, I'll be back to find one suitable for you."
