Ash is your typical high schooler who gets to class just as the bell rings, who spends his time earnestly learning…just between quick naps, and will do everything to defend those he loves. He shares his time with Lulu, Ash's mysterious childhood friend, who is nothing short of the word beautiful, personified with her snow-white hair and emerald green eyes. Getting to Elesgow, the city of lights and royal capital city from Tria, would take six days. But Besi must have sensed the urgency as we were already halfway there by the second day. We didn't stop in any city. We hunted for food when Besi rested and slept in the wagon as Besi ran in the night.


It was the morning of the third day. Besi was resting under the shade of some trees while Lulu and Elaine stayed in the carriage. Lulu was trying to cheer up Elaine and get her to smile as she hadn't since we left Tria while Tank and I went into the forest to train and frankly give them space.


"You know you're much nicer than I thought you'd be, Tank," I said, panting with my sword up while I glanced around.


"And what is that supposed to mean, Ash?" Tank said, his voice somewhat obscured, so I couldn't fully tell where he was hiding.
