The next day, when Irene woke up, she got dressed and followed her usual routine, but when she reached the stairs, she felt someone push her from behind.

Irene lost her balance and soon her body collided with that hard stair as she screamed and soon fell all the way down her head colliding with the hard floor.

Sapphire was scared out of her wits, she had thought about what Zavian had said for the whole night.

And he was right the empress and her own family were not going to help her and she would be forced to endure the torture.

And the way Irene was behaving it was sure that one day she would kill her, or perhaps Sapphire would kill herself, both the ways lead to death and she didn't want death.

She wanted power and fame and she wanted to be the wife of the duke the future duchess she wanted to rule, and Irene was an obstacle that had to be removed so she did that.
