CHAPTER 17: Letting Go

  Ezra’s Point Of View.

KIANA and I went straight to the hotel she booked me in. She accompanied me all the way here but she also didn’t stay longer even though she wanted to because Auntie Karen, her mother, has been waiting for her in their company meeting and she’s being careful not to get the two of us caught.

We had the chance to talk earlier in the car and we decided that Kiana would only visit here once or twice a week so that the undercover agents or whatever it is called, whom my mother ordered to haunt me, wouldn’t doubt her sudden disappearance and of course, to ensure her safety as well. We both agreed to follow the plan of our set-up and we organized everything.

I’ve known Kiana for decades. I spent half of my childhood with her so if I had to describe her personality, I’m prolly sure she would do everything she can to assure I won’t get stuck in trouble, and if I do, she won’t just stay still and watch me suffer alone doing nothing.
