Day 8 of The Gladiator Games
KELLEN
I sat on the floor next to Ajani’s cot, as he slept soundly still recovering from yesterday's fight. Although there were no deaths, Ajani had been severely wounded. A blade from an opponent had dug itself deep into his side.
A guard had given us some fishing wire and a dull needle to patch him up with. While Rogue and I had held him down, Teal stitched him up. His wolf healing was slow and it would take several days before he was up and about. We had been taking it in turns to sit with him, as he developed a fever in the middle of the night and we had no medication to give him.
“No Gladiator slave is allowed to receive herbs” The guards had told us as we pleaded for them to give us anything, even alcohol so we could at least sterilize the wound.
“He will either survive or die” Is what they said before turning their backs on us.
