CHAPTER 33 A Purpose

  Desiree

Adam and I returned to my apartment. He wanted us to go to his apartment while they fixed my damaged doors, but I told him I would rather stay in mine because of his father's laws. Ashria had let me know it wasn't time to move yet, and as things were, I needed to trust my wolf because she knew things that even I could not explain.

"Your wolf is beautiful," Adam finally said after we had our baths and settled on the bed. I needed the sweet words because I was heartbroken and stressed out. I had known the Lawsons all my life, and to think the king would wipe them off the surface of the world the next day scared and shook me.

"Adam," I finally spoke up, "Please do not allow your father to kill Janet. She is the last of that bloodline. A lot of wolf families have been wiped out, please." I pleaded with him.

Adam sighed and looked at me. He drew me close and kissed me passionately.
