As she lay in her room, after some time, her eyes fluttered open to find Emir sitting beside her. "Good morning," Emir greeted with a warm smile.
"Morning," Ember responded, her smile fading for a moment, replaced by surprise. "Wait... You?"
"Yes, it's me," Emir replied. He paused and then asked, "What were you expecting?"
"I wasn't really expecting anything, it's just... surprising," she said while sitting up on the bed.
"Don't be surprised by this. You're going to see me every day when you wake up," he said, pausing and nervously running his hand through his hair. A touch of shyness was evident in his manner.
'He's shy about saying this, yet he didn't hesitate to enter a girl's room. It's really cute of him,' Ember thought to herself. She had numerous thoughts about him racing through her mind, but in the end, she was touched by his actions, and a smile crept onto her face.
Noticing her smile, Emir gently patted her head. "Go get ready, we're going out."
"Where to?" she asked curiously.
"To college. Oh, by the way, I've prepared a uniform for you. You can change into it today."
"Okay," she agreed.
As Ember got ready and made her way downstairs to the dining area, she greeted her nana, "Morning, nana."
"Good morning. Come, eat breakfast," her nana replied.
"Okay," she responded. As she headed towards the dining table, Emir stood up and spoke, "No need to pack it. We're running late." He then came closer to her and whispered in her ear, "You're looking beautiful today in that proper uniform." His words made her blush.
'Hey, you, stop there! Eat here. There's no need to pack anything,' nana exclaimed, addressing Emir. Then, turning to Ember, nana continued, "She's right. She made it. We should respect that. Besides, it will get cold if we wait. Come on, let's eat. We won't be late if we eat now. Please, dear."
Emir agreed to Ember's suggestion, and they finished their breakfast. Nana murmured, "You listen to her but not to your nana."
When they were ready to head out, Emir shouted, "Hey, nana, I love you," and nana responded with a smile. They then left the house.
"The car is ready, sir," the driver informed.
"Give me the key. I'll drive," Emir said.
"But you're not allowed..." the driver began.
"Please," Emir insisted. This time, the driver agreed swiftly.
"Let's go, Ember," Emir said.
They both got into the car and buckled up. "Put your seatbelt on, please," Ember requested.
"Sure thing, Dylan," she replied, fastening her seatbelt.
Emir started the engine and drove off at a brisk pace.
"Slow down, Emir. It's too fast," Ember cautioned.
"We're getting late... So sorry, not now," he replied.
In a matter of minutes, they reached the college.
